Anyone in the Raleigh area have an Eotech or Aimpoint with magnifier I could look through?

I have mild astigmatism so a lot of my dots look like godawful starbursts. Been considering a magnifier/RDS combo, but want to see what it looks like first before I drop the cash. Anyone able to help?

As a user of HWS/RDS with magnifiers who also has astigmatism, I would say the following...

If possible shoot with the sights, or at least evaluate them, in realistic conditions. If I look through my Eotech inside the house, it can be disappointing. Once out on the range at real distances and in sunlight, it is far better. Keeping the brightness low helps.

I've also found that the diopter on a magnifier works like a set of glasses for me and cleans the dot up immensely so be sure to adjust it to your eye.

If you get over this way, you're welcome to shoot mine.

I have a couple holosun/magnifier setups that you can check out. I'm in Alamance Co though. I also have a pretty significant astigmatism.

I have a pretty bad astigmatism, the Eotech Magnifier has an adjustable diopter just fyi. I was able to get a nice crisp dot.

Yeah interesting development: a t2 and compM5 looked way better than my MRO through a G45 magnifier. The dot wasn’t perfect by any means, but definitely better than the diagonal slash when I looked through my MRO. Guess it’s just my eyes.
