Thinking of increasing what I carry with me away from home especially after the Iran tension. Anyone else doing this? Going to add my ar pistol back to my truck to be in conjunction with my p365 for C.C.

I’m not. Whatever happens over there won’t effect street life here. Not until the antifa style protestors get riled up. Til then, I don’t foresee Iranian special forces dropping into Lewisville.

I was thinking more like Iranian sympathizers doing some sort of terrorist attack here not some red dawn type scenario

Be hyper vigilant both at work and at home about suspicious emails, especially links within emails. Don’t click on anything you don’t know is safe.

This is good always, but if you want to increase protection in relation to this current event, avoiding spread of computer viruses and lessening our industrial vulnerability will go infinitely farther than an extra mag.

Oh, and don’t buy stupid talking refrigerators lol. All the needless “smart” stuff is huge vulnerability for foreign hackers to access US networks.

With above in mind, any of our members in IT field who already stay on top of emerging threats starting a thread would be great idea.

I think about that Russian wireless network virus that was designed to lay dormant on router. Simply “restarting” router by disconnecting power was all that was needed to eliminate threat. It’s like the modern equivalent of how “showers” could have prevented 2/3 of human population from dying off as a result of plague.
 
I’m going to increase my load out of Copenhagen since most bases just upped the ThreatCon to Charlie and I’m sure that’s gonna add a decent amount of traffic to my already horrendous commute....
 
Not personally, however; I did get rather forceful with the lay people at church today regarding security and our LACK of planning.

I have moved where I sit within the church for reasons of preparedness.

I guess am the resident PIA many times. Today we spent a good bit of time in Bible Class discussing the clergy 's letter regarding the lack of Unity in the United Methodist church. Before we broke up for the regular service I went on a short Jack Wilson rant.

It's fun to be the squeaky wheel!

This too. I would be more concerned about your “get home bag” being up to snuff if you haven’t checked it in few years. This way if you were out while an attack effecting your portion of grid or traffic lights or whatever jacked things up and you decided to bail.

but in any case, you won’t be doing “extra” shooting. It’s cyber or nothing when dealing with a semi real nation, not just band of cave people.

No but this does remind me to winterize by GHB. I need to put some cold weather gear in there and I need to check my supplies at home. I’m a lot less concerned about confronting terrorists directly than I am about the after effects.

I feel ya bro. The domestic Islamic terrorism may kick up a notch. So I wouldn’t say it’s a bad idea to grab another mag or so.

The reality of >my< situation though is that I am rarely, if ever, in a situation that I could get to a trunk gun in the first place. I think those discussing refreshing their GHBs may be on to something.

As mentioned upstream, I will not be changing my load out other than making sure my GHB is good to go for this time of year and the disposable items are refreshed. I am not too concerned with being a terrorist target in Clayton or Wilson

Carry a extra fully size (15+) round mag, more in my pack (if I have it) and in the truck.
 
As @bigfelipe said, I’m more concerned with VA and antifa types.

I recently went through all of my gear, general plans, and preps, so I’m good for now. If we have some extreme shift, I’ll gear up more.

Same! Im also not going near any Taylor Swift concerts, Florida Georgia Line concerts, rap concerts, basketball games as a whole, no vegan restaurants, no gyms.
 
Nope, no need to. My loadout is pretty heavy as it is, and I avoid super sketchy or heavily populated places like the plague anyway.

Yep, plus the 150 rounds of 9mm in G-19 mags, plus the 16 in gun, plus my spare mag on me, so that's 300 556, and 181 rounds of 9mm.
It all goes with me whether I'm going to work, or going camping with my camper. I said once before I roll heavy, and I wasn't exaggerating, lol.

I work, and I go home. I don’t do much out. I don’t like crowds. I carry a GHB, has 8 mags for my AR and 2 mags for my G17. Considering most gun fights are over within a second or two I think what I have is overkill as it is. I’m not going to add anymore. I’m 45 with bad knees and a bad back. I don’t need to be humping a 60lb ruck around just cuz some Hodgies are mad in a Desert halfway around the world...

Not really. I already carry a backup of my carry gun in a get home bag any time I leave the house, and if I'm going further than the next county or will be gone overnight I carry an AR pistol.

I figure I'm good.
 
Tomorrow I think I’ll switch up from a folder to a fixed blade. Since I got a new sedan a few weeks ago I haven’t figured out the trunk configuration, probably work on that this week.
