I have a can that will accept them, as well as links to tools and materials, but I haven't made a move to acquire them.

Is anyone here making their own?

.......you can make your own mold and make them from silicon rtv. We make seals this way. Basically an aluminum mold with a sleeve in the middle that makes an inside diameter.... And inside the sleeve is a threaded rod. Spray the mold with mold release, fill with rtv and then tighten a boltnto the threaded rod....which compresses the other side of the mold. Like compressing jello! Let it set overnight and you are good to go.

Depending on what you need wipes for...some can actually use off-the-shelf plumbing washers.

I've made them using a sheet of rubber and an appropriately sized round punch.
I used them in a loud as hell 45acp pistol can. I get about 6-7 shots before they wear out. The rubber is flexible and reminds me of the "self healing" targets.
When used with an an ablative, it's a sure fire way to get wet.

First form 1 can I built 25+ years ago used wipes. 45 can I used on a mac 10.. I cut them out of neoprene and used a cobray wipe punch. Awful silencer that was really quiet for 5-6 rounds before the fiberglass pipe insulation burned out and the wipes blew out and I'd have to rebuild it. After putting a few rounds through the end cap ( not the hole ) and the side of the can I called it a day on that one.
