Tips? Tricks? Experiences (Pro/Con)?

I purchased a cheap one off Amazon to experiment with for deep concealment purposes when a belt holster, OWB or IWB isn't possible. Wondering if anyone else has experience here or a preferred belly band.

I'm wearing this cheap one today around the house and so far..... it's not bad.... Draw won't be as fast as the appendix IWB I'm used to, but it's pretty darn discreet.

My son carries this way all the time. I bought him a IWB holster and after a week he went to the elastic band. He loves it. But it is hot and wet if you work outside. I have never noticed he was carrying with it on.

I've used them. Kinda like em except for the slightly slower access you mentioned. Some can ride up over time depending on the band and your body shape. I wiped out on a mountain bike one time while using one and didn't even think to check if my gun was still there until later. It was.

I'm mostly a desk pilot so that won't be as big an issue.

It only looks like I'm carrying a Desert Eagle that way. :(

I’ve used them before, and they can be a good option to have available. What I don’t like about them is that they may not hold the weapon securely in the event that you have to trot or run. I’ve had .380’s come loose from one during movement and start bouncing around under my shirt.

A better option may be to use an concealed carry undershirt that has pockets under the arms. They are a little bit warmer than the belly band but the weapon is held more securely (and better conceal ability / faster access).

Here is one that I have from .511

I like that method and product but the shirt fit will either look natural or like you have a cyclops boob.

Go to Red Dot Arms website. You may like that one with a velcro retention. Never seen one in person. It will require a small handgun of polymer. It is less binding as an undergarment. This is the first site I think of when IWB or OWB is ruled out.

Not a belly band, but I carried using a stretchy band setup almost exclusively for 10 years. Never found a IWB I liked, so that's how I carried until I bought my first CJ OWB leather holster.

I think I got it off eBay, and the brand was Bushwacker (or Bushwhacker). Basically put the pistol under your armpit, and a spare mag was under the grip. Worked well >95% of the time.

What I didn't like was due to my shape it would continuously slide down a little, especially if you were walking/climbing. So you had to tug it up every once in awhile.

Then I found a replacement product that included an over the shoulder strap, and it fixed that issue. Mag moves over to the other side and the pouch can handle the pistol with light attached. It's the standard version from this company: https://www.kangaroocarry.com/

You'd definitely wear it a little higher than the chesty model is sporting hers. Even I managed to do that. :D

I've used the trump card and it can sit a little low but that helps in an active situation. I wore it to the beach and we were in the sand all day with no issues. It does have a sweat shield and velcro retention and is pretty darn comfortable.
