My original broke pretty cleanly at just over 2 lbs with the Accutrigger set at the lowest rate. So I decided to lighten the trigger up in the hopes of some better scores in my 50 yard bench rest comps. I looked at a lot of tutorials and modifications ( that you cannot redo from) and found that a lot of people really like the Apachee trigger spring mod. So , I bit the bullet and paid out the $70 and after 3 days received a small package. In there , was the funny shaped trigger spring the Accu uses, two new pivot pins /ball bearing/a cut off nail and a cut up playing card. Not much for $70, but did include some excellent directions with photos. Took me about 15 minutes to install all the new parts, tossed the action into the stock and pulled the trigger. Holy Schnikies !!!! I barely pulled the tigger. Grabbed my Lymans trigger pull gauge and it read 13 ounces, but after a few pulls noticed that the accutrigger part wouldn't reset every time. So I cranked up the spring a little bit until the gauge read 16 ounces, it reset ok then but adjusted a bit more until the gauge read 1 lb 2 oz consistently. This might or might not help the gun hit more accuractly, but If you think it will ?You have a Savage MK2 and want to give a lighter trigger a try, highly suggest the Apachee Trigger.

Range report time,,, The lightened trigger might have increased my hits, maybe not ? I did a lot of changes at the same time like I changed my ammo and much better bench rest equipment. While trying out all the new equipment, I noticed that the accutrigger blade would not reset all time and lock up the trigger. It would eventually reset if I cycled the bolt open and close a few times and it was very intermittent, maybe every 20 - 30 shots. I contacted the manufacture with the concern ( very nice man) and he told me to increase the trigger pull just a little bit and make sure I slam the bolt closed to make sure the accutrigger resets its self. Time will tell.
