Last target was a close match and loads of fun! Nbkky71 was our big winner and he should be posting a new target soon. We look forward to a challenging target! Thank you to all who take part in our challenge, we look forward to seeing your posts.

Alright boys & girls... lets see what y'all can do with this. I found this target on the airgunningatlanta.com website and modified it a bit to suit our needs. The original target had way too many circles to be practical so I toned it down a bit.

Each row of dots gets progressively smaller! We start with 1" target and go all the way down to 1/4".

Standard CFF Monthly Rimfire Benchrest Challenge Rules

- Iron sights or optics of your choice are all allowed
- All done on the honor system. Shoot it, score it, post it.
- Winner chooses the target and challenge for the next month.

Any part of the white center broken by the round is scored as 2 points

Tiebreaker:
Most hits that completely hit/obliterate the white center dots

I like those types of targets. Hopefully the range will reopen soon and I will get to shoot it.

I'm not sure I have enough scope to see that last row at 50 yds.
I'm still kinda new here and to these matches. I've don't remember seeing it mentioned but is it acceptable to use a plug to score?

It is ok by me to use a plug. I think we are a pretty easy going group. It's not like we're trying to win a new car or anything.

Hey guys. Is anyone else able to get that picture to print in a proper ratio? It is way to small to fit to the measurements and I couldn't get it to spread out.
I printed it from the original PDF posted and it seemed to work fine for me. Do these not look right?

It is windier out there today than the weather app says, at least while I was out there. I shot it with the .30 pellet rifle again today, even thought it doesn't meet our requirements. I still have fun with these regardless. No scope on the 22lr still, and with the economy like it is, I'm just leaving it in the safe unscoped and shooting cheaper pellets.
I used my copy, because I didn't see the original. It appears that his top 3 rows were slightly larger than mine, but the other rows looked the same. I didn't have problems with the top 3 rows though! I shot 23, 24, 25. Besides the fact that these pellets are large, they also tear the paper pretty bad, even card stock. I might need to swap out my card board for a tighter fit to the paper. I'll print the original version for more comparable scores and shoot some more another date. I won't post these since they aren't the proper copy, and I don't want to muddy the waters.

Either way, it is another fun target.

Quick scoring question on the 1"section:
Does getting in the outer ring count as a point? The filled in black circle is actually the 1" target, so I just wanted to confirm, in case it comes down to that.

Hope to get out there soon! Should be a fun target.

Yup... breaking the outer ring of the 1" target counts. Consider those targets "gimmee" points :)

How many times can we shoot it? I would like to try a couple types of ammo and see how they do against each other. Haven't shot these before but figured being stuck at home it's the only matches I will see. LOL

However many times you want until we get to midnight on 5/31 or you run out of ammo. :D

View attachment 202105 Well tried it with some SK standard and got a 35. We will see how Center X does.
We can see the ammo you shot, but we are wondering about rifle, scope, bipod, bag. You know just the regular stuff. We usually try to post a picture of our set up so everyone can drool over everyone eles's stuff!:p

Dang. I just realized that you only have to hit the white center to get 2 points, and obliterate was was only for the tiebreaker.

One yard is basically a long foot stride, correct?
Pretty close. Surely you have a tape measure around? Just mark off 2-3 yards in a row and practice your steps and you’ll have a good idea.

Yeah Rob. Let’s see that sweet Vudoo!

Ok here's a quick shot I snapped.
Vudoo V22 barreled action
18" Kukri contour
40 moa base
Vortex AMG 6-24x50 in Seekins rings
Manners PRS stock with mini chassis in bloodshot camo
Harris BRM-S bipod w/ KMW Pod Loc And my old homemade rear bag I use

Now need to get out and try the Center X but depends on weather today.

Well bored again today and sunny with only a mild wind so figured I would try the Center X out. 4th shot on 3/8" is a lesson to not try and push through with sweat in your eye. Lol Center X did much better than the SK Standard. Also a pic of my home range.

That's a great looking target! It's nice to have you shooting with us. I hope to see a few others trying this target soon. I have it printed, just need to get out and shoot.

Nice shooting!
This is going to be sad if I can't shoot my own target due to range closures. :(

Don’t feel bad. I shot the last challenge (where I picked the target) on day 57 of 59. :D

Me too. Sold off all but my hunting 22lr’s but I will have a couple new pellets rifles shortly to test out in 177 and 22. So excited!

Yeah it shot ok but higher SD numbers. It also is the only ammo I had chambering and extraction issues with in my rifle.
Have you tried other ELEY ammo with similar chambering issues? Would you consider this CMP ammo to be comparable to ELEY Club or lesser quality? I think the newer Wolf is also being made at ELEY now, have you tried that?

Yeah I have run Eley Match, Edge and Tenex and no issues and very accurate. Never shot club. CMP is pretty much is what it is in that it's cheap and does well except for small issues from time to time. For the price it's not bad.

No never shot the new Wolf. Sorry.

I had a few minutes this morning to give it a try. Only shot 1 target, I count it as 34. I will give it another try when I have some more time. I like it, it is a good target to practice with. It would be good for zeroing in your scope. I tried this with SK Standard and my CZ 455 Tacticool.

Made it out today. Wish I could have done a little better with the Ruger American.

Here is the best of 2 with it shooting CCI SubSonic HP

A very crappy 16

I did a little better with the 10/22 Kidd barrel

Looks like a 23 & 25

Please let me know if my scores are wrong. I was frustrated and in a hurry when I finished. Like a dummy, I crumbled the targets up and threw them away before I marked them. At least I took these pics first. Hopefully I can try again before the end of the month.
