I stumbled across this guy's website. He 3D prints things and sells them online.

One of the things he prints is rubber pads that go on AR pistol braces. They add friction and recoil dampening while firing a pistol brace....

He has a warning saying that the product could "change a pistol brace from its original design" so use at your own caution...

But.... If anyone was wondering... Try them out!

How is a brace different from a butt shock? This pistol vs. short rifle conundrum seems a bit arbitrary. AR's in two pieces makes it worse.
 
I really don't think that would add anything to the SBA3...

It's pretty damned solid as is.

I have no idea... I would never shoulder an AR pistol, and I would never buy one of these things.

I just wanted to let you all know that it exists...

No way! That thing blocks your hand/arm from fitting through the brace so it prevents it from being used as a pistol brace. IMHO a reasonable person would say it converts a pistol brace to a shoulder stock.

And, now I ask you to apply the same logic to the pad he makes for the Shockwave brace, which blocks nothing, and actually has a cut out so your arm can still lay alongside the brace...

Im still not advocating that anyone be the first to buy these things and potentially take the fall...

Im just saying, all this ATF floundering, on what is and what is not, is ridiculous... I wish we could do away with all their memos and mindless garbage...

I wish we could do away with their entire reason for existence and their budget
