Got a 11.5 inch pistol and the old lady liked it so much she had to have one so I sold her rifle and got her one. Here's a his and hers pic of the new hd/shtf guns. Got to get a couple more items for both, hopefully the black Friday deals will help out.

I have a trick involving a 1/4" clevis pin that works well for not launching takedown detents across the room :D

I actually found one of these laying around one day. A pin with a hole.

I thought to myself "what are the chances this will be perfect for takedown pin detents?"

Turned out it was perfect, indeed. Now a valued part in my AR box!

I like it. Easy to grip and feels solid. The tapered locking system is fairly easy to install as long as you take your time. It's high on the list as one of my favs.

Picked one of these handguards up for a build. Really liking it!

I have the same ACOG (TA11); that’s a big girl for an 11.5” Rifle! I want a smaller 3x30 version to trim the weight even on my 16” rig

Yeah, I had talked with you and another guy about a smaller acog which I plan on getting a little later to replace the wife's red dot. I got a smoking deal on the one I have now and really like the magnification and eye relief. It's pretty big but man I like it. We were hitting a 1/3 sized silhouette steel target at 100-200 yards easily every shot the other day. At 300 it was almost impossible to hear but had his there when we checked.

Edited: any advise on a nice light weight mount? I like geissele but don't think they fit anything but the 4x

I think American Defense Manufacturing makes a decent QD Mount for the full size ($75 at optics planet) and Larue makes one as well but that’s like $150 IIRC the last time I looked

I didn't even know that was an option for MRO's?

I don't think they are gonna do it for free very long, or they are gonna be real busy. The magnification is the main complaint I've heard about the MRO.

The FAQ on the Trijicon site said the new versions don't have the slight magnification so I asked if they'd fix mine and they did.

That is cool. It was always the one thing that kept me from loving that optic.

@Short Fuse I really like that Odin works stock. It’s a cool idea. I just finished a build with one as well

Thank you, I really like them too they allow you to get the best possible fitment for you verses for the masses. I used to build a similar on myself but not as fancy, since these have come out I do not have to go to all the trouble.
