Getting tired of messing with my 6CM and got a decent load today. 10 shot group was about half inch at a hundred yards.

ES: 24
SD: 7

I'm thinking that should still have me on at a thousand yards. My app says 24 feet per second at a thousand yards is one click. I don't think one click will cause me to miss if I'm aiming dead center or will it?

1/10 mil is a bit bigger than 1/4 moa. Lets say mil so it's worse case. 1 mil at 1000 yards is 36 inches. 1/10 mil (1 click) would be 3.6 inches. That is from one extreme to another. If your target is over 7 inches tall you can't miss!
Well... if you miss you can't blame your load work up!
Sounds great. Shoot it and have fun

What was the velocity of the load? If you don't have the horsepower ES and SD don't mean nothing at 1000. You don't want to go transonic.

A 1/2" group = 1/2min = 5" at a thou. Heart beat, breathing and trigger pull can add another 1/4 min or so. So now you're at 3/4 min at 1000 which is 7.5". The x ring at 1000 is 1/2 min or 5", the 10 ring is 1 min or 10". Practically speaking if you can hold with that load in the wind you should have all your shots in the x or 10 ring. I don't deal in mil's, too much trouble with the ciphering.

I tend to ignore anything but fps. I have a load for a 308 from my Oehler 35 that printed 0ES and 0SD that had bad accuracy. I have accurate loads with crappy ES and SD. If the load is accurate and has the velocity you want then go with it.

Velocity was 3049 average for 10 rounds

Go to JBM ballistics and load that data. It will spit out your wind and elevation dope.

Hell yeah it’s good enough for a practical rifle. Get busy shooting.

............you might get it a little better, but it will be some tedious, meticulous work. What you have is very very good. I would be happy with it.

In my 6br I’m getting
Sd of 3
Es of 9
Got lucky though

Just fill the case with BlueDot and put the bullet In backwards, guaranteed match winner

I can't trust this info coming from a guy with 0 match wins.
Look, you're going out really far. You need power to get your bullet that far. Do rockets use powder? No, they use solid fuel. Just fill the case with primers.
