Turbo is QD only, like the Resonator. Turbo K has both (QD & DT) adapters like the Nitro.Anyone have a direct thread? I know the K version has a DT.
Thank you sir!Turbo is QD only, like the Resonator. Turbo K has both (QD & DT) adapters like the Nitro.
That's a thought. I guess the muzzle break and quick disconnect don't weigh a lot. I do prefer the longer length of the Turbo model.FWIW you could simply red-loctite the QD device into the body of the Turbo effectively making it direct thread.
For that matter, you could have a machinist chop most of the MB/FH off. YHM is no longer using the far end of the mount as an alignment point. Save a little of the weight. That's a thought. I'm not familiar with YHM. Would one of them be better to chop than the other? For that matter, you could have a machinist chop most of the MB/FH off. YHM is no longer using the far end of the mount as an alignment point. Save a little of the weight.
If you’re chopping it, it won’t matter...as you’d lose the brake chambers or the flash hider tines.I'm not familiar with YHM. Would one of them be better to chop than the other?
Would the MB be better because of any protection it would offer the silencer as like a blast baffle?
That makes sense, should've thought of that. Thanks! If you’re chopping it, it won’t matter...as you’d lose the brake chambers or the flash hider tines.
That being said, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to go with the brake and leave the first chamber as a sacrificial baffle if you were going to modify one. That makes sense, should've thought of that. Thanks!
That's what I'd probably do. Although, with all this extra work it may just be easier to get the Turbo K.That being said, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to go with the brake and leave the first chamber as a sacrificial baffle if you were going to modify one.
And if you’re making it a dedicated DT can by semi-perm attaching it to the muzzle device, you won’t have to worry about timing the brake (or how obnoxious it would be unsuppressed).

Gotcha. I scrolled back just enough to see you hadn’t posted earlier, and missed that question.Loctite the QD mount to the can and use it as direct thread.
So you have two hosts, with the same thread pitch, and wanted to share a single QD mount?I’m just trying to avoid the additional $85 QD mount but maybe I should just buy it.
AR15.com, M4Carbine.netWhat’s a good used outlet for something like that?
