this will be realeased on Friday.
I've hope it's as good as the the trailer.
but it's got Batista so it can't be all bad
Netflix has been killing it lately.

second trailer

So which army of the dead are we talking about?
They're both the same movie just two different trailers if I understand your question correctly

i'd heard the movie was coming but i hadn't seen the trailers
using THE GAMBLER timed to gunshots and other battle noises in a casino is just plain genius.

Also, a p90 would be ideal for this sort of situation. low recoil, light and compact, and with an abnormally high magazine capacity.

#1 Zombie Elvis impersonator FTW!

#2 This reminded me of a true story from WWI. Excerpt from Wikipedia:
The Germans became panicked by the appearance of the Russians, who were coughing up blood and bits of their own lungs, as the hydrochloric acid formed by the mix of the chlorine gas and the moisture in their lungs had begun to dissolve their flesh. The Germans retreated, running so fast they were caught up in their own c-wire traps.

I’m not a huge zombie movie fan.

But I think this trailer is in my Top 3 of all time. The juxtaposition of the laid back song and the insanity on the screen is fantastic. Trying to convince my 14yo to watch it with me. Wife has zero interest, but will be out of town next week.

YouTube has the first 15 minutes of the movie on their channel today.
Watched it this morning. Movie looks good
With the Snyder cut of justice league and this , Zack Snyder has become one of my favorite directors.

I read World War Z back in the day, which kicked off the entire zombie genre in the last couple decades or so. Glad I read that before all this started coming out. Kind of overdone at this point...there was a really good British show about zombies though, called Survivors. I recommend it if you haven't seen it.

I'll give this one a try when it comes out.

Watched it last night. It was OK. Characters other than the pilot didn’t really give you anything to cheer for. Zombies are similar to “I am Legend” if you liked that.

It seemed like a good idea that was only “meh” level of execution. Fun to watch, but I wouldn’t watch it again.

it very felt like the remake of Dawn of the Dead, which was another film by Snyder
Snyder was also behind Sucker Punch, which had zombie nazis, and plenty of other nice reasons to watch.

I just started this tonight.

Anyone get the feeling the virus was extraterrestrial in nature? Intelligent zombies with organized hierarchy? Area 51 origin?

Pregnant zombie? Did she get knocked up by the Alpha or was she already pregnant when she was turned?

Anyone catch the “blue” flashes of light when Alphas got headshotted, fetus, and eyes? What was that?

The subplot with the missing refugees were boring. I would have been like “oh gee, guess they’re dead! So sad, too bad.”

Watched it over the weekend.

I didn't realize until afterwards that the helicopter pilot actress was CG'ed into the film after it was shot. The original actor for that role was dropped over some PC/liberal outcry late last year. Some of the interactions between Bautista and the pilot seemed off and that explained it.

If you could have a feel good plot about zombies, this was close to it for me.

I'm with you, man. This was a huge disappointment. Pretty much a lifelong zombie movie fan and I've been hyped for this film for quite a while now, but it was a major bummer.

I'm no critic, but I had such high hopes for this movie. Considering the producer and plot I expected it to kick ass. But dang, the loss of direction, side stories that had no bearing, the fact that nearly everyone dies, and the sucky ending made it well, suck.

It was alright.

I've realised what it is about all these Netflix own movies that feels the same. They all feel like our old RPG gaming sessions when we were kids. Random cool shit happens because yeah stabbing a dude while falling of something or on fire is cool, awesome gunplay is cool etc. Doesn't matter if the story makes much sense, just get us to the next fight and titties.

That movie could have been any number of gaming sessions from my time being a huge nerd.

Snyder is vastly overrated. Slowmo doesn't fix a bland script.

I need that in my life right now. i will make a place for brief sessions of mindless entertainment.
and as my old fencing coach used to say, "a movie only needs 2 things: hooter and 'splosions". AotD was a little short on the first one, but had enough of the 2nd.

Question. What does a
zombie horse
even eat? If it sticks to its living diet, there was none of that inside those walls.

Man of Steel is still my favorite superhero movie to this day but aside from that, Snyder doesn’t do much for me
Have you saw his justice league cut?

Have you saw his justice league cut?
I have! Very much improved over the theatrical release and I enjoyed it, slipped my mind

Also I forgot he did 300 which is always a fun movie to watch

So there is a prequel to Army of the Dead focused on the safecracker that came out this week, watched it this PM. Called Army of Thieves.

I actually liked it a bit better than the Army of the Dead which was OK but not great. Worth watching on Netflix, not in a theater

Heist movie, zombies are only on the periphery of the story.

By coincidence, we watched it tonight.
