U.S.A.-(AmmoLand.com)- Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-1st District) has sent a pair of scathing letters (embeded below and worth the read) to Attorney General William Bar and Acting Director Regina Lombardo at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), demanding a halt to the agency’s effort to restrict “the possession of certain pistol braces by American citizens.”

I think this is going to blow up in a bad way before it gets better. Poking the bear, as it is.

But, I also believe the organization has out lived it's usefulness since there are so many work arounds and the restrictions don't really apply anymore. Kinda like closing windows when the doors are open.

My understanding is the current ATF lead is an Obummer holdover. Swamp monsters at work trying their own version of an October surprise to influence the election?

Trump needs to keep draining the old guard out federal law enforcement. Hoping in his second term, he will make major changes as a lame duck.
That's a happy thought, there's only a few problems:
trump:
  • "loves eminent domain" (Theft by State is bad news if you're a property owner!)
  • Illegally outlawed citizen's property without compensation (bumpstocks). Again screw your property rights.
  • Hired Barr who supports Murder by the State as the US's top lawman, and belongs at the end of a rope for Waco, Ruby Ridge, etc.

Maybe but I remember way way back to the bush years when putting postal abbreviations on the 4473 would risk losing your license. In boxes designed for postal abbreviations

which is why I still fill out paper 4473 on guns i purchase with NO abbreviations except for the "state" box that isn't big enough to spell out any state names. I even still write things like "october 12 2020". old habits...
