"Today's guns are like yesterday's guns. Tomorrow's guns are like today's guns and yesterday's guns. Let's make tomorrow's guns like yesterday's guns but tomorrow's today there should be no guns." - Kamala Harris's next gun control speech...

He canā€™t lead on it because itā€™s not good for votes and heā€™s running again.
True. Now the best and the brightest with a poor track record has been assigned to deal with this duty, likely with the expectation of failure which is likely what they want, in the short run at least, but can't say it.

She certainly seems to be an expert on unloading guns. Maybe she's a reasonable choice after all .

Both Pence and Harris have been pretty unremarkable VPs. The only reason I remember Pence ever existed is the Trump fallout and how he was wise to stay in his designated swim lane during her tenure as VP and not take home launch codes to sell on Saudi Arabia eBay. History will show what Harris does but it seems like she won't do anything noteworthy.

Oh boy! It gets betterā€¦

šŸ”„ And so it begins, the awokening of Artificial Intelligence. Yesterday the Hill ran a story headlined, ā€œHarris Huddles With Civil Rights Leaders On AI.ā€

Ironically, the Biden Administration put Kamala Harris in charge of ā€œprotectingā€ the public from the ā€œdangersā€ of runaway artificial intelligence. Kamala Harris! Make it make sense.

Anyway, look who she met with yesterday. The list reads like a list of attendees at the 1967 World Socialist Congress or something:

The meetingā€™s attendees included Center for Democracy and Technology (CDT) CEO Alexandra Reeve Givens, UnidosUS President and CEO Janet Murguia, AARP CEO Jo Ann Jenkins, and AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler.

Harris, who could use a little more artificial intelligence herself, gave away the groupā€™s focus: they donā€™t know jack about the technology and couldnā€™t understand it if they did. So instead, they want to throttle what the AI is allowed to read:

ā€œAI is kind of a fancy thing. First of all, itā€™s two letters. It means ā€˜Artificial Intelligence.ā€™ But ultimately what it is, is itā€™s about machine learning and so the machine is taught and part of the issue here is what information is going into the machineā€¦ā€

I know her ā€˜two-lettersā€™ nonsense is unintentionally hilarious, but it obscured the sinister part: ā€œwhat information is going into the machine.ā€ They want to make sure the AI doesnā€™t figure out stuff like who really killed JFK, or whether there are any physiological differences at all between male and female brains. I mean, you canā€™t have AI running around explaining why men canā€™t become women, or why 15-minutes cities wonā€™t work.
