The Land of Sky Gun Show is this weekend at the Western NC Ag Center in Fletcher, NC. Saturday 9-5, Sunday 10-4. The venue is requiring fewer tables so that aisles can be wider to facilitate social distancing, but it still should be a decently sized show. The last show here was cancelled back in May due to the 'Rona shutdown.

We will be there in our usual spot by the front door. Anyone else going?

What type of primers are you looking for?

If Blue Collar Reloading shows, you are probably good. There is one other guy there who routinely has primers, but I saw him two weekends ago and he was sold out. Primers have become hot items.

Wife made me clean out the storage building and I was lower than I thought on primers.

Planning to go first thing Saturday morning. Looking for a ruger sr9c and a few other things.

Anyone know how many tables they're setting up? I end up going to shows here once or twice a year but they've been the MK shows.
If it's a decent sized show I might go just to get out of the house, not really looking for anything... which means I'll see 10 things I have to have.

Due to social distancing requirements, there are 300-350 tables. He had to have 12’ aisles.

Good mix of stuff. Lots of private sellers. At least one large reloading supplier. Couple big ammo dealers.

I must really be out of the loop, had no idea there was going to be a show this weekend. I will likely go sometime tomorrow. It will give me an opportunity to stock up on candles and jerky.

Big crowd, but they were not buying ARs and ammo as frenetically as they were in Hickory two weeks ago. We had a good day overall, but it wasn't as good as we expected.

Hard to judge any kind of regional or national trend from this show. Mountain folks are their own and live by their own rules. We'll see if today is a bellwether of the market at large.

Did the $20 price hold for 9mm?

Yes. But, people weren’t buying it in large quantities like they were at $15 a box. We sold a box or two at a time at $20.

Smaller crowd Sunday, but they came to spend money. We sold 25% more on Sunday than Saturday. Sold a bunch of ammo, mags and several ARs on Sunday.

It will be interesting to see how things go the next couple weeks leading into August. Historically, August is when demand and crowds at shows pick up again after a summer lull. The big marker shows start up again after a summer break, too. But, these are not normal times. No telling how things will go.

Do you have any sense of whether ammo production will see an uptick to try and catch the current market?

Ammo companies are running at full capacity right now and they can't keep up with demand. Until demand decreases, we will see continued upward pressure on prices until there is an equilibrium between demand and supply.
