Asheville is great!

Every city has it, sadly.
Unfortunately this nation has a huge drug and mental health problem - they usually fuel each other, of course, creating a vicious cycle.

Asheville is fine for some things, it's faults are that like any other city in America - it's got a lot of people, a lot of homeless/vagrants, a lot of liberal tendencies

The libtardness has ruined this place. This is 300 yards max from the federal building. I walk over needle caps on the sidewalk outside the federal building every day. Asheville is a shithole. And it’s only getting worse.

This was in 2021. The “crime is down 19%” narrative is engineered and false. People aren’t reporting crime because the police do nothing. When they do report it, the police do nothing. If the police do something, the DA drops the charges.

That’s a great way to “lower crime.”

I occasionally see articles (eg like this) about the dangers of smoking weed for mental health. Doesn’t seem like the pro-weed “it’s natural therefore it’s safe” guys want to engage with that possibility…

Edit to add: I don’t know much about Asheville but I smelled a lot of weed the one day I have spent walking around downtown which is why the discussion about drugs/mental health made me think of the weed article.

Your basic, run of the mill weed of the 60's and occasional use are an entirely different thing than the overuse of highly manipulated strains that are out today. Heavy use of stronger weed is probably a part of the issue.
