I had 6 barn cats in April and now I got one. I first suspected the coyotes since they come down off the top of the mountain and be yipping and yapping at the edge of the woods. They do this every year, but this year was extra-bad.
But yesterday my carpenter buddy who's doing some work back at Grandma's and Grandpa's...tells me he saw a bobcat crossing the road and coming into my yard. Says he was a good size too.
I put this in the hunting section cause I have a feeling I'm gonna be doing that with a bobcat here.

Right now I’d notify NC Wildlife ... get the proper nuisance abatement permit to handle this SSS can work but some bobcats are tagged for research. A friend down in Pender lost all his guinea, a couple pet ducks and one dog torn up. The Wildlife officer told him straight up any signs take him but call them immediately. He did receive the proper permit and a week or so later took a big male that was over 30 lbs and tagged. When NC Wildlife came to pick it up turns out he was tagged and part of a study. They thanked him and said call if he had any further concerns.

Ps .... if you trap it and want to relocate the kitty, I have a place where you can turn it loose.
Don't know that I wanna get anywhere close to this thing!
I can't remember the last time I was bobcat-wrasslin', but I reckon it's similar to trying to catch a ball of flying razor-blades.

Ball of flying razor blades would be forgetting about the teeth.... it's the teeth that getcha.....

Several years ago the libtard weirdos at Holden Beach had one of those feral cat colonies and a Bobcat moved in and started dining on the whole bunch. They called Wildlife and complained because a "wild" native cat was eating "feral" invasive house cats. Wildlife to their credit told them to take a hike. House cats should be kept in a house or in a barn. Once to get out they should be killed on the spot. They decimate our native wildlife species.

There is a active hunting going on in Australia. It was pretty startling the numbers of endanger wildlife due to these cats

years ago, a Wilkes County man was turkey hunting and was attacked by a bobcat.
the best that i remember, he said it was like being hit in the back by a bag of cement
that tried to kill him with box cutters and bolt cutters. because it was the first week
of the season, he had his cold weather gear on, and the bobcat gave up quickly, so
he had stitches for his back and a tetanus shot, but nothing else required treatment.

These guys kept their cool ...

I’d have likely screamed like a little girl and been a kitty toy.
