Anybody using one of the ATN HD scopes? Looks interesting and being able to record your shots.

They do what they say they do.

I got rid of mine because it was so dang HEAVY

Tim did you hunt with yours or just on the range?
What caliber rifle were you shooting?
What was the effective power for the magnification?
How was the video to your phone?
What mounts did the scopes require?

I am thinking this would be A

Tim is correct, they work and they are heavy. I have a XS1 that I bought when they first came out 3 1/2 years ago . For me there was a bit of a learning curve trying to figure out what everything did and then to memorize the location of the buttons so that I could feel them in the dark. Capturing video on a hunt is why I bought it and have several video's of a hunts I was on. I was pleased. The IR illuminator that comes with them are junk IMO, you would want to buy a different one to really reach out. I can easily see 7 or 800 yards in total darkness with my set up. I also bought the THOR (Thermal) a year or so ago. All I can say is it was amazing and being able to clearly make out a hog at 500 yards was exciting. These scopes have had some issues, not a lot but some. The eye relief on the Gen 1 and Gen 2's is very very minimal so I mount them on AR15's, the Gen 2's can handle the recoil from a .308 easily however I choose not to due to being scope bit once. The image quality is very good in the Gen 2's but with them all the more you zoom the more pixelated they become. I have connected both of my units to my phone on occasion just so others can see what I see and it works okay but in my case if the phone got more than ten feet or so from the scope it would lose the wifi signal. I always use the lithium batteries when on a hunt, they will typically last 7 to 8 hours if I turn most of the widgets off but also have an external power pack that I can plug in as well that will run the scopes 20+ hours. The Gen 4's that are now coming out are redesigned and have me intrigued how ever they too are having some issues with firmware mostly so have no intention of looking serious at them until issues are resolved. For the money I think these scopes are great, sure there are much better ones out there but I don't hunt regularly so I am happy with what I have. Don't know if you get on to face book or not but there is and ATN owners page that is very informative with both happy and unhappy owners. Too bad you are 5 hours away from me, I'd let you try both my scopes out before you bought one.
