ATN X Sight II 5 x 20 Day/Night Scope

I'd been contemplating one of these scopes for a while, and finally broke down and bought one a couple weeks ago. I've mounted it on a Ruger SR556, and have toyed around with it at night, and so far have been pretty impressed with the night vision capability on it. I've yet to sight or zero it in, but wondered if any one else has tried this scope, and what your thoughts on it are?

I'm planning to hunt coyotes and hogs at night with it currently.

I got the 3x14 version, it works as advertised. Shot this guy at about 110yards. The hard part is to get the coyote in front of me. I got another one this Saturday at daybreak. They are destroying my deer and turkey populations. I need to get about 10 more before April.

Congrats! I see you have your IR illuminator mounted more forward. After seeing a few videos of the X Sight at night, I may also move mine forward to prevent the smoke flash I've seen on a couple of the vids.

You need a better illuminator. I'm using a Surefire IR and it works so much better.

I have two on there, one is set for a wider spread and one set for a small bright pinpoint. I switch based on where I'm hunting.

I can see very clearly, take clear pics/vids... I just haven
t had time to get it zeroed in, and now I'm seeing the new firmware update is causing some issues, as a result of trying to fix some.

Finally got mine zeroed in, took a bit, but tore up the bullseye at 200 yds! I thought I did pretty good considering when I left the house, I forgot my spotting scope, and shooting bags, so I had to improvise and just use a folding table as a prop.

I printed out the entire manual, and took it with me. I had to go back to the Zero/Profiles sections multiple times before I figured out the process to move the reticle correctly after firing a shot, then adjusting. I tried to post a pic of the target where I finally got it dialed in. Give me a shout and I'll help however I can.

I've got to start messing with mine. I bought it and put it on the shelf. I've taken it with me a couple times with the intention to put it on and shoot it but haven't yet.

Same here. Mines just sitting. Maybe once I have time to sight it in I'll use it.
