Attempting to make pocket slips slowly learning more and more about leather craft

It looks good. But that leather looks way too thick. What are you using? And lining any weight leather will make it much stiffer.

Accidentally bought 4mm leather because I didn’t read the description I ordered some 2mm and I am going to try again but figured I’d experiment with this stuff first

That puts you at 5oz leather. Since you are lining it that might be OK. That's the weight I use for straps or I use it lined for smaller pocket holsters. If it feels too thin for you go to something like 2.8mm/7 oz. Or you could wet mold the 2mm stuff and force dry it with heat to firm it up.

That is what I like about this place. Always someone willing to share knowledge. And that has got to be the worlds largest stitching pony. Nice work.
