Automatic Knives

Heh, I have a Spyderco Sage 5 that I’ve carried for quite a while. Spending $130 on that was painful, for someone who was used to carrying a $20 no name folder from Walmart. I don’t really have a use for an auto knife, just kinda want one.
 
There were thousands of automatics this past weekend at the Blade Show.
 
essentially, i have nothing.
no recommendations, with only painfull advice.

currently, i still have the 4th "auto" i've owned.
all the others have been sold/traded or given away.
failures abound. those who wanted mine were warned.
purchase price made no difference. high or low indicated nothing.
i kept what i have since it still works Every Single Time.
but it is not my EDC. Spyderco remains in my pocket.
 
Not really into autos as theres really no advantage to me over a flipper or thumbstud.

But I recently snagged a Benchmade CLA from Thrillhill and it is tits. Hasn't left my pocket in months. Great knife!
