Awful House cook shot over mask

Aurora is not the place you want to be in Colorado

Um, not takin' sides here or anything but...

How do you eat with a mask on? So is one required when you walk in & sit, but not when you sip your water, OJ, or covfefe? It's ok to lift or move it for every bite? During a reasonable length of time to eat the meal, then back on again?

How does this maskery work in a restaurant scenario?

From what I got out of the article, they were doing carry out service. Not open to seating.

Which leads to the next issue...what kinda mad man has ever said "You know...I could sure go for some Waffle House take out right now..." Waffle House is for emergencies, 2am drunken gorges, and truckers. And at times all three at the same time.

He went past 20+ theaters to get to one that was Posted..No Firearms

Yes, but how many movie theater shootings have there ever been - now what's the likelihood of that one getting shot up a second time?

I like Waffle House food (and it is cost effective), and it surprises me that my kids love it. We don’t eat there often, but if we’re on the road for something, it’s a possibility. :)

I will admit, I enjoyed waffle house just to watch how they cook without writing things down. Just holler em out. Kids were enthralled by how they could "remember" such long orders. Until one day our waitress told us the secret. They cook based on how the plates are set up for them. Fork at the top, fried eggs, for at the bottom, scrambled or somesuch.

That's the ONE scene from that movie I've always remembered. There's some wisdom there...
Ive got to tell you the truth, Aard - Ive not seen the movie ever.
BUT, coincidentally, my dad mentioned that scene the other night and it sounded funny and, well, made sense.
And so I thought it fitting here.
Amount of theaters in (hell, we'll be specific) Denver vs how many have had a shooting - it's a low number. So when one of those has had it done the likelihood of the second is even lower! lol

Just speaking to the statistics, it’s exactly the same as it was the first time. If a dice rolls a six five times in a row, the chances of it rolling a six next time is 1:6. Of course, shootings are not random and are influenced by other factors, so this doesn’t exactly apply. But it’s not like the dice runs out of sixes.

They may do it that way now, but when I was cooking at Waffle House in the early '70s, it was simply repeating the order and remembering it. I will say I very seldom had to ask for a repeat. It gets hectic at times but with limited seating it's not as hard as it seems if you have a reasonably good memory.
My "claim to fame" at that time was being the first cook in the DFW area to cook a 1000 dollar plus breakfast run at a time when the average breakfast was less than 3 bucks.:cool:

Only place open for supper for us 3rd herders. I’ve ordered take out many times and brought it back to the shop for lunch/supper/3am time to get some eat on.

Yep, amended my post as such. Remember eating at the one Rock Hill when I would do 3rds. Always good for the 'head on a swivel' practice.
