Three of four years ago I used to buy bacon remnants at Food Lion and who does not like bacon.

As with all things good this has come to an end. The remnants where in a pink Styrofoam tray covered with plastic wrap. About three pounds of odd cut bacon.

Does anyone know a source for this culinary delight today?

Saw some the other day. Harris Teeter maybe? I not 100% for sure, but I know I saw some recently. Hell could have been at Walmart.

I get irregular bacon from the international market. It's buck or more cheaper than regular bacon so I usually buy a couple for times I don't care about strips...

I used to buy it 3-4 packs at a time. The packs got smaller and the price went up

I got a huge bag of it at Walmart cheap.

Also get it at Trader Joe’s, if you can stand the smell of the hippies.

As @bspitt suggests, all the more reason to DIY. After the curing and the smoking and the slicing, the last parts that are too unmanageable to slice with a good Cutco bread knife get cut into 1/4" cubes. Voila: lardons.
