What’s your opinion?

good....bad...????

Prices are awesome, quality appears to there in the uppers that’s I saw today. Thoughts?

They’re putting out way better quality than when they were Moore’s Machine Co. Good to go IMO

I got a few of them thinking that it would be a good idea to have a few extra if SHTF, etc. I have yet to shoot mine, but my brother also got one brand new in the box and was having failure to feeds and failure to ejects fresh out of the box using pmags and M193 ammo. I bought the 16” 5.56 with MLOK rails.

Ive built uppers with 2 of their 450 Bushmaster barrels, and they're both very accurate.

"Bear Creek Arsenal said it is cooperating and added that “Homeland Security has confirmed that our Human Resource Department had complied with all laws, rules, and regulations in our hiring practices.”
All of the detained individuals had passed the E-Verify background check and were supposedly employable, how do you blame the company?
They got raided by ICE for employing illegals, so they don't get any of my money.

over 10% of their workforce was taken into custody....

You don't get that many illegal immigrant employees without catering to them in some way. Just like Tyson Chicken (who had billboards in Mexico saying COME WORK FOR US in Spanish) Something was telling them that they could get jobs there. I'd rather direct my funds to veteran owned companies like PSA, and others. Combine that with a crap reputation dating back to the founding of the company and no way. Y'all keep spending money with Walmart and companies like this, and then complain about why things are the way they are. Voting with my wallet is the only vote that counts anymore.

"The Government needs to butt out of businesses and let them be!"
*Company gets in trouble for accidentally breaking government rules."
"I aint gonna do business with no company that hires people the government says cant be there!"

Seriously...chill out on the haterade for every single company that slightly steps on your sensitive toes. Bear Creek followed the rules, employees got busted, they complied and weren't found at fault. You seriously think that if they hadn't been shady the oh-so-gun loving government wouldn't have used it as a perfect example to 86 a company that makes the evil black guns and their parts?

Heck, even Walmart employs what...half a million people...and you wont do business with them because some dude 10 levels up from the guy you are giving hell to at the check out line for not showing a receipt made a decision you disagree with? I bet even companies like Black Rifle Coffee and PSA and you name it have, or at some time employed someone who was shady, or they themselves did something we could all collectively poopoo.

Spend your time shooting, loving your family, spending time enjoying life and less time constantly seeking out reasons to hold grudges against companies and people who have never actually wronged you.

LOL ok. "blank" Company, do whatever you want against the Constitutional laws the rest of us live under, and I will continue giving you income. Makes sense. BTW the OP asked for opinions. I didn't see your opinion of Bear Creek in that scathing rebuttal of mine.

edit: more than 10% of the workforce. Not a shady person or 2. 30 out of 250.

I'm sure those illegal workers were shiny examples of producing quality machining parts, just like they're known for in the construction industry

So...if they have broken the laws, then sue them. Refusing to sell something isn't against the constitution no matter how much you wish it were.

illegal immigration is against the Constitution. So is facilitation of said invasion.

I don't need to sue them, because I just don't give them my money. Many many other better choices for similar or even less money.

They were found to have commit nothing wrong. You keep ignoring that and inserting your own verdict where you have no evidence. I guess you know more about it than anyone since you repeatedly claim to. Dislike them for their assumed quality, or because you had a bad experience with them. But this angle just makes you look ignorant.

Name another company in the firearms business that has been busted for employing more than 10% illegal workforce. I'll be here waiting.

Chicken plants were also found to be doing nothing wrong. Not sure how much you know about that industry, but there's a reason why those workers chose THAT company.

E-verify is a joke. It just created a black market for better fake IDs and ID theft, and it requires an HR dept. that documents everything and looks the other way.

They weren't "busted" for anything. If they had been "busted" then THEY would have been sanctioned or fined. That didn't happen. Again, continue conjuring up tales to make yourself feel righteous.

Oops. I guess I could replace 'Busted' with 'Forcible removal of over 10% of your workforce for violating immigation laws' lol.

I'm sure all those illegals just happened to pass e-verify and happened to get hired at the same company based on their length and pristine resumes and backgrounds.

Why don't you go track them and find out. Ill wait. And than you again for taking a thread and turning it into an elitist crap-show because you cant stand the fact that you happen to be wrong. I am sure a mod will be by shortly to clean this up. Rightfully so as well. Its about their product and service, not "Ikarus thinks they hire illegals intentionally even though he cant prove it, so he will just assume it because it makes him feel righteous."

Nope. It's about why would I give my money to a ill-reputed-before-name-change company that hires illegals. If that's being Elitist then call me illuminati

Ok guys. Op asked opinions. If y’all wanna argue about it start a thread in politics or bring up one of the dead threads please.
Thanks

Thanks for the replies.

I’d check with MAS Defense and at least compare options/prices before ordering from BCA.

I had one of their ars before the name change and had 0 issues. My buddy bought a Grendel upper from them recently and has had zero issues. All of their stuff I have looked at has been nice. When I get some extra fun money I will be buying a Grendel upper from them.

I grabbed one of their 7.62x39 uppers. Slapped it on a cheap ass PSA lower and got a couple CPD mags. There was a little slop in the fit, but nothing a two cent o-ring couldn't clean up. Runs like a top. Eats all the crap steel ammo out there. Only issue has been one FTF(ire) and that appeared to be a bad cartridge because it hit the primer hard. Very happy with it. I can hit the steel pig at 200 at my range with boring regularity.

So I bought a 10.5" .450BM upper from them. I wanted to play with a big bore but not break the bank. It was junk, the handguard did not line up with the receiver, the chamber was so tight it would not even hand feed, the feed ramps and barrel lugs were razor sharp. I was super disapointed. I emailed them and they said send it back and they would fix it or replace it for one that would run. 2 weeks later they emailed me and said a replacement was on the way. This upper looks as nice as any of my junk and has ran flawlessly for me. It groups as well as I can hold it out to 200yds. I have no complaints whatsoever with my second go round. I have carried it all deer season, it is my new favorite AR upper.

From what I understand their rifles chambered in intermediate calibers have vastly improved since the name change to BCA, I have personally seen 5.56, 300blk and 6.5 Grendel rifles that ran perfectly out of the box, the owner of the 300blk just did a couple of back to back mag dumps but I’ve seen solid 1 MOA groups with quality ammo out of the .223 Wylde and 6.5 Grendel rifles.

I have a .458 Socom BCA upper that wouldn’t run at all until I tinkered on it for a while but now it shoots 1 MOA at 100 yards and it is damn fun to shoot.

I have also heard of people having to send their BCA uppers & rifles in for one reason or another and BCA has been top notch in taking care of them which is a complete 180° from the Moore Machine days.

With all that said, if I was looking for an extremely budget friendly AR I’d give them a look, if I had the time and money I’d love to get a complete rifle and put it through the ringer to see how it holds up to abuse.
