I'm tired of not having something I can tinker with at the house. Yes I have a truck I'm building but that's on hold until the first of the year (job change).

So....over the years (off and on) I've been thinking of a MG42/M53/M3 semi belt fed... I would go with a 308 setup for ease of ammo and ability to use a friend Mark 7 Dillon 650.

I know what you are thinking..why? Well, I've always been in the shop doing something. Don't have nothing to fill that and videos games just suck now days other than battlefield and Company Of Heros.

Pros, not that expensive to build. I have the right tools. Doesn't loose value.

Con...still belt feed, lot of fitting, welding.

I mean just look at it..

Have shot a MG42 several times. Always a blast.

Also shoot a HK23E on the regular. Belts Feds are just fun. I want to get a fightlite MCR since it's about as much fun you can have without a stamp.

I have a browsing 1919 converted to semi and 308 but with a handcrank. It's fun but expensive.

I wish That I had went after a 1919 before the $ prices went so for north.
RPD's are fun, and cheap to feed.

I've got lots of experience with belt feds and miniguns. Had a friend that had couple semi auto 1919s to mount onto his two Ferret armored cars.

I'm just finding out about this why? We've been through 3 forums together..3...I feel betrayed (not offended..haha)

So I'm having to re think about this parts. It's going to cost more than I originally though..if I want to shoot .308 from the start.
