I shot for the first time in three years. Yes, three years. Zero parking in front or back. Place was slammed with customers spending money. Saw Zastava’s, a Benelli shotgun, couple AR15, and all kinds of small stuff bought. That was just less than 20 minutes. Range was doing well also.I still haven’t been by there and I’m 5 minutes away?!!??!!
Never was into knives but have bought 5 in the last few months. I’ve never carried a knife until this past week.I have a bunch of knives, but a Benchmade AXIS tends to be my go to. The lock is just so conveniently one handed for flicking open and closing very quickly and safely.
I did have one omega spring break, but BM fixed it and had it back to me in a week or so.
I want one of these badly but I want it with a stainless blade and black handle. I really feel like this might be a perfect EDC.Glad the hear shop/range is doing ok.
The BenchMade Mini Bugout is my go to EDC knife. Like the operation and location of the controls. They sure make a doggone good knife.
I looked at that knife couple weeks ago. Very nice carry knife. Honestly I know nothing about knives and have been Youtubing knives lately. I understand blade material much better now.Glad the hear shop/range is doing ok.

That looks a lot like my old 705, really like that knife and need to find a replacement before too long.
Which one is that? I originally was looking for a knife much like that before I bought a OTF auto knife couple weeks ago at Foothills Gun and Pawn.

That’s funny as heck. Sorry, but funny how you described it.Funny story about the 940 last weekend. We went to a Longhorns and my little girl got Mac n cheese and a “fruit bowl” that was an orange cut into 4 wedges. Ok…..
I cut the oranges off the peel for her, and in doing so I must have touched my finger with the edge. All of a sudden we had a damned crime scene with blood running down my arm.
Ooof. That sounds like a bad day. Side opening autos are cool, but less than practical in my experience. The really don’t open much faster than the axis you now have and to close them requires either two hands or careful consideration with one hand. I would take an axis over a side auto any day. That’s funny as heck. Sorry, but funny how you described it.
First knife I carried was a couple weeks ago after purchasing a Georgia Ops at the Hickory Gun Show. It’s an auto with a safety. Guess I should use the safety. It opened in my pocket and cut my leg when I was kneeling so I reach in to get it. Cut my finger also. Wrapped my finger with a shop towel and electrical tape. Let the blood clot on the leg and pants.

The only knife I’ve ever had open on me was an Al Mar S2K. I reached into my pocket and it felt like there was a damned wolverine in there.
Tiny and a featherweight. That looks a lot like my old 705, really like that knife and need to find a replacement before too long.
