Beretta 92Xi Squalo

I don’t care for the Vertec grip. If it’s got the grip panels that turn it into the traditional M9/92 grip I’d use it.

No idea what they’re charging for these.

I have a frame safety Betetta (96 Stock) that’s kinda rare. I shot it in a 4-day class once and had just about had enough of the frame safety.

I actually didn’t mind the grips, I’m sure you would be able to swap them for others though. As far as price goes, FG&G had theirs at $1200 if I remember correctly (MSRP is $1329)

I pretty much like all the 92 series pistols
So iconic, but also in my experience excellent firearms
My last 92 was LTT centurion, regret letting it go.

I was thinking about the 92Xi SAO. I have a 92, but couldn't deal with the DA/SA trigger, and at my age and trying to improve at IDPA I didn't want to take the time to train the problem out of me. The Xi would solve that issue. However, for better or worse, I watched this review and decided not to get one until I have a chance to shoot one first, or possibly rent one. I have similar hands to the reviewer, and the grip issue warned me off. Notice Chris had an issue with the grip, while his wife did not. Plus I've been trying to rehab myself from trying to buy a game. It hasn't worked so far, but I'm still on the baby steps.

I like them, i just wish the safety wasn't ambi. It digs into my hand on the trigger finger side. If it wasn't ambi, I'd love that thing.

The vertec grip isn’t a panel that can be swapped. It’s the flat back strap designed that started ~15 years ago w the vertec 92.

The 92xi squalo is designed to sell pistols to the crowd that throws a seizure over a slide mounted decocker or can’t learn a DA trigger pull. The problem here is that with go-fast SAO pistols there’s a lot of choices out there including a 2011 or cz shadow. One is either a beretta fanatic or just curious about SAO pizza guns. This pistol really doesn’t serve much other purpose, and that’s coming from a 92 fanatic.

Honestly I know nothing about Berettas, nor have I even shot one. I’ve just always wanted one and this one looked “cooler” than the others in the case around it. Funny you mention the 2011 and shadow though since I do already have both

LOL. Or maybe just for shooters who have a different preference than you.
"Seizure". Good Lord.
