Any input on the best case trimmer out there? I've been using the Lyman for years and just not happy with it anymore. Also, as I get older, I don't like cranking that handle. Would like an electric but worried it'll chew the brass up too fast.

Wow. those are all very nice. Only issue is I load around 30 to 35 different calibers and this could get very expensive.

Do you load the same volume in all 35 calibers?

I use the Giraud for .223 and 300blk but do 30-30, 22 hornet and others by hand on a Forster.

it varies , but I guess I doo a lot with the 06 based case. 25-06, 270, 280, 30-06 and 35 whelen. also do 300bo, 556, 30-30, 30-30ai, 45-70, 35 rem,22-250, 7mm-08, 308, 7mm rm, 300 win mag, 44mag 38spl, 357, 460 , 500, s&w, 380, afew weatherbys 7mm tcu and a few others i'm drawing a blank on at the moment. Gotta love getting older. I enjoy loading just not trimming....lol

Not too long ago, I picked up the Lyman brass smith "Case Trim Express". It comes with bushings for most popular bottle neck calibers, the only one it did not have that I needed was for 7.62x39. I've been very happy with it. FWIW, I have used a Hornady case trimmer, and the Lee case trimmers with the cutter mounted in my RCBS case prep center. I still use those for straight-wall cases.

I have an old RCBS trimmer with the crank handle from which I removed the handle so I could chuck it into a hand drill. That worked fine. I bought a used Dillon power trimmer that I occasionally use for 223, 308, and 30/06 when I have a whole bunch of cases to trim. It is a breeze. Most of my trimming, however, I do with elements of the Lee trimmer system. I have a universal chuck in a hand drill and use their guides and cutters for the trimming. I did have to get a guide set for each chambering, but they are not very expensive. I also got the cutter with the big wooden knob to make things easier.

One of the things I like about the setup is that the length is very uniform and is indexed off the base of the universal chuck rather than off the shoulder. You can also change the length a tad by stoning off the end of the guide rod a little bit. I can deburr the neck and even deburr the flash hole while the case is mounted in the universal chuck. I am not a big fan of some of the Lee products. I have quite a few of their devices that generally stay on the shelf unused. The trimmer, however, is one of their products I use extensively with great success. I did case prep on about 150 308 cases last evening using it.
