I just bought a set of these tires on Friday and I am absolutely in love with them! Compared to my old General Grabber Red Letters, the BFG's are like riding around on a cloud. It's absolutely amazing. I have no idea how they'll wear or what kind of life I'll get out of them, but I honestly don't care.

I highly recommend them for the ride quality alone.

I have about 12k on mine and they are barely showing wear. I really expected a large hit on fuel mileage because these are so much heavier than standard tires. I lost about 3mpg going to them which wasn’t as bad as I figured.

They're decent tires.....they weigh a lot less than the Toyo AT2's I prefer. They do tend to feather very quickly so make sure nothings worn on your suspension and rotate them twice as often as you normally would. They are a bargain when it comes to a capable (non-mud terrain) off road tire and the noise isn't bad until they feather.

I didn’t even ask if the OP bought Load C or Load E. I run load E on mine. The tires are 53lbs each. My standard tires (Cooper Discovery)were about 36-38lbs each. I do agree with roasting them often.

I have had several sets of the BFG ATs and can't say enough good things about them. This last time I put a set of cooper AT3s on the Tacoma since it's more a pavement pounder. They have over 10k on them now and you can barely tell it. The BFGs may have a rival in my book.

70K miles on Toyo AT2’s, stock tires on a 2016 F250. Just put on a new set of Toyo MTX’s and the look and ride great, maybe look too great, I’ll probably do RTX’s next time.

Toyo or Michelin fan here for tow rigs and tread life.

Bfgs are a good looking tire and good on lighter vehicles but to many issues with them on trucks that have diesels or solid front axles for me.

I didn't even know Toyo made bigger tires. I probably would have shied away from them though based on current experience. I put a set of Toyo Extensa A/S on the wife's Fusion and while the ride quality isn't bad, the road noise is annoying. It's a high pitched whine that I mostly notice on newer pavement. Not impressed. They got really good ratings online, so it could just be my particular car. Tire buying can certainly be frustrating sometimes.

The Toyo MT's are kinda suppose to be the shiznit in the truck world right now, I guess, that's what my kids and their friends say anyway. My truck came with the Toyo AT's (OEM) and I was impressed enough to buy them (MT's) again. While they do have a small roar, they are a very aggressive tire. Both my sons have Mastercraft Courser MXT's on their trucks. They have provided excellent service for a mud tire at 1/2 the price of Toyo's. Not dumping on the BFG's, I just never got long service life outta them on a heavier truck as mentioned above.

Ive had all different tires from MT to AT. My favorite MT I ever had was the Bridgestone Dueler MT, but they dont make them anymore.
Firestone Destination MT were great on my Sierra 1500, as were Nitto Terra Grapplers and Firestone Destination ATs.
Goodyear Duratracs, I freakin loved! Awesome in the dry, wet, sand, dirt, mud, city and highway. Amazing in the snow/ice. Best tires I have used in that weather. (carries the snowflake/mountain rating)
Falken AT3w tires on my F150 now. Pretty good not as good as the duratrac tires.
My next tires will probably be the Yokahama Geolander MT G003. They look amazing and have heard great things of them. Id get the Duratracs if they had them in the size I wanted.

BFG KO2's are a tried and true tire for midsized vehicles. They have that aggressive look, have good road manners, and tend to wear very well.

The new Falken Wild Peak AT3's and Toyo Open Country's are getting quite popular.

I opted for Hankook Dynapro ATM's for my new Tacoma since I wanted to keep weight down to maintain mpg's. Otherwise, it has similar characteristics though no quite as aggressive looking, and is significantly cheaper. This tire was 10lb lighter than the BFG, SL vs C load.

I came really close to getting the Toyo AT2's for my truck a couple of months ago. I ended up going with Mickey Thompson ATZ P3's. I've had them previously and have been pleased. Plus there was a $125 mail in rebate.

+1 on the Duratracs. They were great on my Z71 in the snow when I lived up north, but also real good in all conditions. I've got 65K (a LOT of highway) on mine and getting ready to install some new tires(still a bit of tread but getting slick in the rain). If my truck wasn't rusting apart I'd drop the dough on another set. Definitely going on my next truck.

Dang, those Yokohama's look sweet! Too bad I didn't know about those when I was looking.
