Bought this from Jerek two months ago and have run 250 or 300 rounds through it. Had trouble with the sights not being centered on the barrel but that's been the least of my problems.

Lately, the slide won't lock back on the last round and one of the two magazines won't drop. I've scratched what little hair I had left off the top of my head trying to understand the problem. Finally, I began following a thread on the S&W forum where a guy was having a different kind of problem with a different M&P pistol. He eventually posted some very clear photos that helped me see what's causing these issues for me. If you look carefully, you'll see the follower doesn't properly engage the slide lock and that's also causing wear on the vertical edge of the follower.

I sent a message to S&W and today they answered that they believe it is the magazine release. If they're right, I guess it is pushing on the magazine. Anyway, it seems they miss their baby and want her back again. If I remember correctly, they're closed part of August so neither of us is gonna get to play with her for a while.

Mine went back to the Mothership for a laser issue, back about 4 years ago now. It came back with a few other parts changed out on it per the invoice. It had new sorings and a new mag release, never got an explaination why but it works fine. S&W will do you right.I did not send them any mags but they sent me one back free of charge.

Yeah, thanks for that. I see they reopen the plant next Monday. Their instructions said not to send the magazines but I'll include photos so there's no question of the issue. I hope they'll at least replace the two mangled followers.

My last word on the subject is to tell y'all that Revlon calls that color Follow(er) Me Anywhere. Exclusively at Walgreens.
