I just got a news alert that Billy Graham died at 99. Prayers for the family. If I could only be a tenth of the man of God he was, I'll be a happy man. He has led thousands to Christ and now is reaping the benefits in glory. Praise Jesus!

Though I am not a religious person. Billy Graham has pretty much been a constant in my life growing up in NC. And one thing I can say, is he has never been involved in the scandals, money grubbing etc. so many other seem to fall to. So I have to admire his commitment and true sense of direction. I believe he probably made many peoples lives better.
 
I'm friends with the family and got the call early this morning. Billy was the real deal and a very humble man.
He lived a life well lived and only when we get to heaven will we know the impact his ministry had on the world.

I know he heard our Lord welcome him home this morning by saying "Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord." Matthew 25:21
 
RIP Dr. Graham, one of the Great Men of our time.

The Billy Graham Library is just a few blocks from my office. I hear they have shut the doors and a crowd is gathering to watch for smoke from the chimney :)
 
Finally resting in peace after dedicating his life to teaching the gospel around the world. May you now rest in peace with the good Lord in heaven Reverend Graham.
 
Interesting fact, NC will now be replacing our statue in the Capital Crypt of Charles Aycock with a statue of the Rev Billy Graham. He worked with sitting presidents and now he can continue to look over them as they are inaugurated. Fitting spot for him to be IMO.
