Expensive to play for sure.
I've been asked if I hunt hogs. My reply is I hunt whatever walks out. lol.....
As far as your original question, I have not used them or any other guide service with the exception of catfishing in Santee. I simply can not afford it and have been fortunate to have close to 700 acres of family land to hunt. But, only the last four or five years have we been seeing hogs.
Check out http://www.buchananshoals.com/. These guys are a stone's throw away from where I hunt and you wouldn't need the outrageously expensive out of state license.
Edit: I glanced at their site a little more and didn't see any mention of hogs.
