I put about a dozen drops per 150 boolits.
1 coat is nearly imperceptible, except by feel. Its not tacky like regular alox but its there. Im gonna try just 1 coat on these.

Lee TL 158gr SWC, cast from wheelweights plus a little tin solder.

I gave that up. Now I just shake and bake.

Powder coat for me. None of that sticky lube gumming up my seating.dies.

Too much work for just plinking. This lube supposed leaves a thin coat so i dont have to size these TL mold casts.
Its not sticky like regular alox.

Might be too much work, but too much work has kept me.from busting.caps for a long time.

Theres 60+ pages worth of others' work on Castboolits about BLL if you feel like reading the multiple benefits of thin coats of carnauba and alox.

One of the orig posters goals was to have less clumping and gunk. Plus not having to resize and loading as-cast

So a single coat of this stuff evidently is enough. Loaded up 50 158grn SWCs with 3.low grains of HP38 so we gonna see if the muss is worth the fuss.

Makes total sense since you're using the Lee TL bullets. They work well for that purpose. Unfortunately I couldn't get them to stabilize out of my G34. I had to move away from anything that involved melting Johnson's paste wax. My wife probably would have shot me with Everything I cast if get it near her again. Some people are so smell sensitive.

tumble lube work great, but they smoke ALOT more than conventional lube bullets
Yep. This stuff is so thin, its got to smoke less than the waxy Hornady lube they put on their cast lead. The mineral spirits evaporate out of the wax carrier that applies the alox evenly. I let them dry overnight and i could still feel lube all over the projectiles when i loaded them.

Only thing left is to see how they shoot and whether theres much if any leading

Shot 50rds outdoors, didnt notice much smoke. Small amount of lead present in barrel but the gun was dirty prior to testing. Gonna bump the charge since I had some soot on the cases. Accuracy was minute of 6" plate at 20ft
