Got our gallon kit, need some no-brainer recipes if you have any. I don't drink anymore but Chicken Lady wants to try it.

Did your kit come with directions? I do meads and ciders but I have not done any wine but the process is similar. Careful as its addicting! Next thing you know there will be a still hiding in the garage.

Never cared for blue berry wine but i have plenty of carboys, if y'all find a good recipe I'll try a batch.

Shoulda made strawberry wine. Then you could drink it while listening to this.

This is our first try so don't really know how it is going to turn out. We have our last pour off and bottling in two weeks. Chicken Lady will drink it first since I don't drink anymore. If she gets sick I guess we screwed it up...........:oops::oops:

I had some blueberry wine made in Pembroke a year or so back by an Indian Gentleman. Outstanding! One of my customers was putting some in jars to give to relatives and gave me a jar. Of course I had to taste and taste again. He told me that for a real party you could bump it with a little Vodka.
Wound up cutting the day short so I could really put a taste test on it sitting on my front porch. It passed with flying colors.

First gallon ready to pour in bottles in 8 weeks. Chicken Lady says its good but needs a little sugar before bottling. We decided to go all out and start 5 more gallons. We've got a freezer full of blueberries and need to use them up. I may end up falling off the wagon just to taste it

There are GMO yeasts out there that will survive up to 21 or 22% alcohol, if you want to bring the heat. You'll have to up the sugar to take advantage of it, though.

@REELDOC Would you mind sharing the recipe ya'll used?
I'll try and get Chicken Lady to write it up in readable form. We bottled 5 bottles 2 weeks ago. I stuck my finger in it to get a taste and it was damn good. I might fall off the wagon and have a little nip periodically. 6 more gallons in process.
