Im normally a Jeep and old Dodge truck sort of guy these days but I've recently owned 2 BMWs and I've got the bug now. One got totaled and I replaced her with a 2002 BMW 325ci. I still have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 1986 Dodge Ram and 87 Dodge Ramcharger. My thing is I'm super fascinated with BMWs now. Anyone else a fan? Any BMW clubs around? I just can't get over the way they handle. They take corners like nothing else I've ever owned and the driving experience is something amazing to me. Id love to get my 325ci out on a track somewhere and really open her up. She's not the most powerful by far but I've heard of people getting them up to around 140-150 mph.

While its more for older models, look up Vintage at the Vineyards event, its a Bimmer event each year.

My wife stands to inherit a 2004 BWW m series convertible with less that 12k Miles. Car has never seen the rain. Beautiful car really just beautiful.

If that bug is still nibbling on you, I have one you are welcome to buy. It's my wife's DD, but she's about ready to move on to her Lexus full time.

It's a 2004 ZHP in Imola Red.

Im assuming youre already on BimmerForums, right?

My best friend is a big BMW guy - had his Mcoupe (not a M3 coupe, but a M Coupe) featured in Performance BMW a couple years ago, recently it was reprinted in an European bmw mag. Currently he has his fully built 70s model 6 series
sidedraft6.com is, I think, that website
the mcoupe...I cant remember.

He's a professional photographer and does graphic design, so when he builds a car (also working on an old VW bus right now) he takes a lot of great pics and posts up the details of the build.

Anyway, through him Ive been involved with the brand a lot, lots of wrenching (ie: we put nitrous on the M, then took it off for a blower, then took that off for a turbo kit and full engine build etc) and seat time in them.
They really are impressive cars, even the older models like the E30 3 series.
I like the luxury of them and the tech in them. And they just work well.

I could see myself with a BMW at some point to play with, maybe a wagon.

What?!! That MY car - exactly.

There is also a ZHP forum.

I knew of ZHP Mafia, but I think they quit accepting new members several years ago.

Does your car have the Alcantara interior? That's what we have.

A forum that doesn't accept new members? I haven't been to the website in a long time. I used to be a DIY guy but not any more. If you are - http://www.bimmerdiy.com/dir/e46 . I did get a code reader for the car and a Bentley service manual when I first got the car. The only thing I do now is oil changes.

Mine is a convertible with montana natural leather, black aluminum trim and black alcantara. I got the car in 2009 and it now has 67K miles. Always garaged. I get Tons of compliments on the car. I think 2004 was the first year for the 6-speed.

For the rest of you (who really don't care), ZHP is a performance package that was only available for 2 or 3 years. It has M3 suspension, wheels and trim. The engine is tuned from the factory but not to M3 levels and is normally aspirated. It is very surprising that I have never been stopped in this car. But I'm officially old now and don't drive hard any more.
