Man pulled over for speeding, charged with murder after body found in trunk
Lance Gordon, 32, has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Angela Lee, 47, the Holly Springs Police Department announced on Monday.

On Friday just prior to 4 p.m., Gordon was stopped by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol in Edgecombe County for speeding.

Gordon was driving a vehicle owned by Lee, whom he said was an acquaintance.

After troopers took Gordon into custody, they reached out to Holly Springs police to find Lee and ask if she knew Gordon had her vehicle.

The police department was unsuccessful in attempts to make contact with Lee on Friday night and again on Saturday, raising their suspicions about her safety. Holly Springs police obtained search warrants for Lee's Holly Springs home as well as her vehicle, which was still in Edgecombe County.

Investigators discovered Lee's remains in the trunk of her vehicle, and they charged Gordon with her murder as well as the theft of the vehicle.

Unfortunate for the woman he is accused of murdering. Too stupid to use cruise control.
Looks like he had conviction for rape, served 6 months instead of 10-13 yrs.

If I understood that correct, the thug was in and out of prison for attempted rape, assault, robbery, attempted arson, re-imprison violation (?), post release revocation (?).

wow, so what you are saying is that the revolving door that punishes low level drug offenses but releases dangerous criminals back into society (taking away any deterrence effect) occasionally lets a monster go (every week)?

No more concurrent sentences, why charge me with five crimes when I only serve time for one? Consecutive sentences for felony offenses should be considered, but they will not do that because it is cheaper to catch and release them early.

I hear her every time I hear/read that phrase:)
