Because they were afraid to hurt her or punch her in the face or break her arm most likely.
 
What if the roles were reversed? There would be a major out cry. Oh the racism, she was a devoted Christian. Clipping coupons to save money to feed her 14 kids. She went to church, saved tadpoles..... whatever. I find it pitiful no one says a word. If the races were reversed, we would hear about it for weeks on major news channels. Just saying.

First lady, wearing a light shirt, (I feel) Personally I would have deployed the taser. Id moved to where those tables were to give me some space, and not allow her to be able to get right on top of me. Tased the crap outta her. Given the situation, she was within 10 feet of him when she cleared that counter..... he was definately in stabbing distance. He'd had to have trusted his taser. (I would have). The second lady with the screwdriver.... She had on a heavy parka, not a good taser candidate. Pepper sprayed the crap outta that one....and even peppered the first one, til I could get around the counter to deploy the taser. Instead of being all hyped up saying cool shit like "Ill smoke you, dont think I wont...." How about working through alternative methods to avoid killing someone.

Pulling the trigger is easy.
