Boyd's Pro Varmint Stock

Ive had two of them... The first one I installed on a Savage Mk 2.. It did nothing but make me feel better, but lightened my wallet a bit and did nothing for accuracy.. The Second one was for a CZ 455 and it was bedded, same results sadly to say. Both I used for 22 LR 50 yard bench rest competitions and I really didn't notice any difference in my scores.. Some folks might have a different result and Im guessing they must because its a common addition to both of these rifles..Guess it depends on what your wanting out of these stocks, looks or feel possibly increased accuracy ? Your results might vary from mine tho.. Hope this helps.

Yep, on my CZ455 I did a pillar bedding and it did help me with keeping proper torque on the action screws.

Actually, I just wanted something better than the plastic stock that came with my Remington 700 ADL Varmint. I ordered one and it's pretty nice with the exception that I had to sand the barrel channel to even it up and correctly float the barrel. I bedded the recoil lug too. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, son I hope...

Your going to find the Boyds a lot more solid and your going to like the more straight back trigger angle that stock gives you now..Congrats on your purchase..

Well, I am going to sell this Boyd's Pro Varmint stock. I put everything together perfectly as a birthday gift for my wife and she does not like my choice of the stock so we are going another way??? I guess I should have asked her choice... Live and learn..
