From what I can tell its a soft release and only a few places have a few models. Most of them online retailers and only the pistol models in 7.62x39 and 5.56. No rifles or the promised .300 blk, or .308 yet.

I've wanted a Bren for a while and I think I'll try and pick up one of the older models used if I can find one.

GIGN recently adopted the 7.62x39 version of these. Rumor is they wanted to get them in .300blk but couldn't convince the government on the rounds viability.

Kinda suprising they didn't go with an HK 416 considering their army is adopting those.

No AK mags: NO STARS!

Seriously though, these are neat but that price is going to have to come down by about a grand before I'd be interested. And then of course you'll have to buy the proprietary mags; and don't get me wrong, CZ has a done a great job making the Scorpion mags affordable, but with billions of AK mags out there, it seems silly to introduce their own.

Its only proprietary for the 7.62x39. The 5.56, and 300blk are supposed to use regular mags. And the 308 is supposed to use ar10 mags.

I wish they used 7.62x39 ar mags though.

Apparently they are 100% made in Czech Republic so only the pistol ones can be imported currently until they get some stateside production of parts going go be 922r compliant.

As for the price as long as they are cheaper than a SCAR they are going to sell like hotcakes to the ARs suck crowd. $1700 isnt bad for what it is. The price certainly isn't going to drop much.

I recently picked up a older one in 556. I added the Trijicon 1x4 to it and will be going to the range in Thursday afternoon to do some accuracy testing. 55.jpeg
