Another one that has been there too long. I felt like he was setting a trap but never went in one direction just examples of Straw Man arguments.
I think he has trying to claim that the evidence was there, but it was committee confidential. Basically renewing the Democrat complaint from yesterday that they didn't have enough information. But he got confused on what was available and what wasn't.

This whole deal seems pretty silly. Dems just want to whine and cry but in the end I believe we’re highly likely to have Lavanaugh confirmed.
Kavanaugh will complement Gorsuch well, bringing some much needed support of the constitution to the bench

Grassley should tell the Democrats to file their written comments and the committee will vote on Kavanaugh's nomination the day after the comments are published in the Federal Register.

Nomination "hearings" have become nothing more than opportunities to channel Ted Kennedy's viciousness in trying to kill the nominations of anyone who will not pledge to rule on future cases exactly the way the Senators want.

Ted Cruz being Ted Cruz is a beautiful thing. lol He nails it. Hillary would just stack the court the other way, but they don't want to admit it. Yesterday I heard a Dem complain about getting documents too late to review, but somehow the idea that they should release every single slip of paper related to him would not be too much to deal with? Yeah, OK. I'll let you take one position, but not both.

OK so now we know who got Guttenberg into the audience, Feinstein should have
introduced him properly to the Judge, instead of ambushing him for the TV cameras.
What if the maniac used an IED to murder, what would Feinstein ban IED's?
She needs to use some of that TV face cream that makes the dark rings around her eyes disappear. She looks like a living corpse.

Among other things - i couldn't get over her insinuating semiautomatic rifles are not in common use

In her little bubble they aren't which is the problem. People like her can only see life thru their limited view and they can't see that life for others is different and that it's okay

Ill be the first to admit that I am rather ignorant on the methods and proceedings taking place. But what I do question is the veracity of all of the weenie wagging and hollering that is going on. Is anyone in that room, who has a vote, >really< on the fence about this? At this point, aren't the lines pretty firmly drawn? Is there really a chance that Kavanaugh will say something magical and suddenly the likes of Feinstein, Booker, and their ilk will say "You know, I do like you after all!" and throw their name in the hat for him? All that I, as a relatively attentive but still ignorant peasant sees is a bunch of people making it public record why they either don't like the guy or do like the guy so they can run back to their voters and say "SEE! I HATE/LOVE HIM!" but ultimately it is procedurally worthless.

It is all about TV face time, playing to your base, and auditioning for their next role or election. Can Harris or Booker say something brilliant enough to capture the hearts and minds of the swing voters? Can they make a decent enough speech or point that the press can hail them as the next great thing?

One of the Republicans should ask Kamala if she might change her mind if they gave them all the docs.

I believe Grassley mentioned more than once that since they already decided what their vote would be, that they had no real need for further docs.

Speaking of Kamala Harris. I seem to recall that she was railing on about guns when she was AG in Ca. Screaming that if people thought that the "authorities" wouldn't enter their homes whenever they felt like it to check compliance that they should think again. Does anyone know if there is a video of this out there?

One of my faves is when she was crying about our babies being slaughtered. Nobody thought to ask if she ever saw any pro abortion legislation that she was against.

Watch out. She's trying to be a player.

Every Senator who sponsored a "visitor" who was arrested for protesting during the committee hearings should be barred from the hearings for a day. Of course, all of the Democrats would end up being barred.

Can this be done? Not the barring but the sponsorship. Then make the record public.

That stupid moron Kamela Harris trying to paint K into a corner regarding knowledge of Mueller, the Russia investigation, and Trump's attorneys. K is like, "I don't know anyone in that firm" and Harris is making him out to be part of the Trump protectionist conspiracy.

The Democrats have realized that they are losing for a possible good bit of time, the Judicial Branch of government. This branch has helped them cajole, corrupt and water the rights of the people over the past 69 years in the name of social rights.

Each potential Democratic candidate for President is going on an on for sound clips to drive their future campaign. Kagan and Soutomayor were softball pitches.... and could not hold a candle in terms of service, moral standard and society concern than Kav.

This.. is one of the key gravels that will start the official crumble of the government. Not the republic... but this farce is showing the inefficacy of the Senate, House, and other bodies that are ruled by bureacrats and technocrats.

That's only because he believes a president should be immune to indictment. The Dems are making this a key reason on his selection by the Trump administration.

If that's the best they have, that is far reach indeed....
