Kavanaugh and another guy both say Kavanaugh wasn't even where she claims he was. So it may be worse than a drunk mistake. It might be a totally fraudulent work of fiction.
And now it's looking like Kavanaugh's mother might have been the presiding judge on the foreclosure of the "victims" parents house. Yeah, nothing to see there.
Oh, and her therapist's written account of the incident from years ago does not match the current story. Of course, she says the therapist got it wrong. And apparently she told absolutely no one about it for 20+ years. That alone makes it highly suspect. That rarely ever happens.

I have no idea if these allegations are true or not but I can tell you as someone who attended Georgetown Preps biggest rival in the Metro DC area and knew many people who went to Holton Arms. Catholic school parties in the DC metro area in the 80s were EPIC!!!!!! Lots of shit like what is described went down. I dare say the playbook for the condemnation of Anita Hill will be center stage again. This fellow, Kavanaugh, strikes me as a man of low character brought about by a life of privilege. It will take more than one accusation to stop the process and sadly the time is not there for others to appear, if any, before he'll be approved by the Senate and seated.
Even if this true, both were underage and any charges and prosecution would be sealed records.
FBI would have been able to get a Judge to unseal them for the six FBI deep background investigations
that have cleared the Judge from day one of his career in government.
This is a non sequitur, they can not investigate this without the woman providing who, what, where, when, etc.
I could end careers or make them very difficult for many people I went to high school and college with if this is taken to its obvious conclusion. That the totality of one's life is to be judged by the lowest single point as opposed to balancing good vs bad. And I'm just talking about the consensual shenanigans and hell raising we did. EVERY high school has this stuff going on. And so does every college. A lot of times it's swept under the rug because stupid kids do stupid things. Money helps, but it's not the be all end all of it either.
Low character? I've not heard that point raised from a single person that seems to know him. Just from the left that's trying to destroy him. You may not like all his positions, but apparently, it would be hard to be more respected in the field than Kavanaugh. And the guy actually gets out and does community service work, mostly with the homeless. Lots of low character people out there giving their time to the homeless? Not to mention he has a letter penned by multiple women that have worked with him over the years that upholds his character and is opposed to these accusations. You don't think the left would have dug up something if it was out there by now? They've been trying to derail this guy since 30 minutes after Trump picked him. Maybe, just maybe, it's not there.

If they are trying to make a deal to stop the FBI/DOJ unredacted document dump and the FISA warrant declassification that would be HUGE. I would love to have more info on that. Because the Dems are beside themselves about it already because they claimed the redacted info from the last dump was covering the collusion, so he is re-releasing it unredacted.
It feels like someone's house of cards is starting to sway badly and they are getting scared. I get this sneaky feeling Trump has an October mid term surprise in the works and he's just getting them worked up to a fever pitch for good measure.
I just read that Rosenstein and the DOJ are all refusing to release the docs per Trump's order. The lines are drawn. Trump needs to show up with Kelly, Mattis and a few hundred armed Marines and take possession of the docs before they are disappeared. Then fire every insubordinate piece of crap there.
Me too. I don't know what to make of all the shenanigans. On one hand, I wish the Senate would just vote him in. On the other, lots of folks went for Trump because of the potential for SCOTUS appts, so maybe Repubs think it will help get voters out if they allow a delay of confirmation until after election day.
In the craziest universe, if Kavanaugh withdraws it would be hilarious if Amy Barrett was voted through with no hearings.
Either way, it seems like Dems options are to lose hard or lose harder. Their overconfidence is rather inspiring.
