Going shopping with my wife's sister Monday so I stopped by the local Ford dealer just to see what's on the lot.

Walked by one, looked and just shook my head. The sales kid asked what. My reply was "wrong, that's just wrong".

this only affects Mustang Mach-E SUVs built on or before February 3rd, meaning it’s possible that dozens are affected.

Dumbasses. This exact problem existed in the Nissan Leaf. When plugged into a charger, but not actively charging (i.e. full or 80% depending on the charging method) the 12v battery powered the communication to the charging station as it constantly "pinged" to see if more charge was needed. This ran the 12v battery down because IT only recharges when the car is charging, or when it is unplugged.

My Escape Hybrid had a way to manually charge the 12v from the 300v pack. There was a switch in the cargo area that you needed to hold down for 30 seconds.
After that it would charge from 0-12v in 30min.

Did they 'forget' that little function?

and....$1200 delivery fee on top of that.

im totally down with the green trend, in fact im ahead of the curve as i currently own a diesel electric vehicle, it has two 12v batteries and a diesel engine.
