Yup.
Spicy food decreases risk of premature death.
See the link below.
From the article:

They say, “Variety is the spice of life,” and every year more Americans are embracing the heat! According to the NPD Group, a leading global information company, 56 % of U.S. households have hot sauce on hand in their kitchens. Spicy foods are also a hot topic when it comes to your health. In fact, they might actually extend your life! A team of Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health scientists discovered that eating spicy foods may be correlated with better health and a reduced risk of premature death. The data from Harvard showed that consuming spicy food, typically in the form of hot chili peppers, at least once or twice a week brought a 10% reduction in mortality risk. Those who consumed spicier foods, almost once a day on average, saw their risk of premature death drop by 14%.

I always add a little bit of spice to everything I cook. You have to consistently eat it to reduce the effect it has on you, which builds tolerance and allows you to eat more spicy foods.

That said, my MIL can't eat most foods because she avoids spicy food altogether. It's so bad that I wish she would just pack her food when we go to restaurants instead of giving the whole damn speech on what she can and can't eat.

My dad got on a spicy food kick when I was a kid & I've been hooked on it ever since. Stepped up to ghost chilis a few years ago & to the Scorpions & Reapers very shortly afterward.

There are apparently a couple more peppers purported to be hotter than the Carolina Reaper. Might have to try to track some down to try.

Try Dragon's Breath or Pepper X. You only need a little before you start your terrible experience.

Reaper is still the hottest. A couple others, like Dragons Breath were at one point.

Oh, so now where is the "academics are lib-tard, data manipulating beasts dwelling amongst a vast wasteland of educated idiots and holier than thou hypocrits..." crowd? :D

Fish, you don't count- "at least once or twice a week"
My fam tells me I'm a glutton for punishment because I love cayenne, grilled jalapenos and habanero on almost everything I eat.
I don't think I want to even try some of your cuisine.

Love grilling fresh whole jalapenos.
