Hi all, This is a beautiful* Browning Citori CXS Micro that is two weeks old (seriously). My wife shot three rounds of skeet and one round of sporting clays with it and therefore the round count is precisely 175 rounds. (We bought this gun because it fit her almost perfectly, but after shooting it she decided that it is just a smidge too small for her. So instead we are getting her a full-size CXS and then having the stock cut down to fit.) She is 5'5", so if you, your wife, or your youngin' is less than 5'5" this shotgun should be a perfect fit. Specs: 20 ga 26" barrels Blued steel receiver Grade II/III American walnut with gloss finish Three Midas-grade extended Invector Plus chokes (F,M,IC) 50/50 POI suitable for skeet, sporting clays, and field MSRP is $2199. If you can find one locally (hah!), they are $1899+90=$1989. At Bud's, they are $1879+89+20=$1988. I'll sell this for $1560. While I am not in a rush to sell, if you want a beautiful gun for hundreds less than new I'll work to get it in your hands today. Buyer must be a NC/SC resident that is legally allowed to own firearms and a bill of sale will be provided. *They had five of these for sale when we bought it; we got the pick of the litter. (That is not a scratch in the lower right; it's just a piece of fuzz. There are no scratches anywhere on this gun.)
Beautiful gun!! The wood is gorgeous!! Here's a thought. Since you state that the gun "fits her almost perfectly" but it is a "smidge too small," I'm presuming that you are referring to the length of pull of the gun. How about either adding a spacer between the stock and the recoil pad, or change out the recoil pad to a thicker one? Either would be a cheap and easy solution instead of buying a new gun and paying to have the stock cut down with the possibility of whoever does the stock work doesn't screw things up. Also, you wouldn't take a nearly $400 loss from your purchase.
Mad Dawg, I was not ignoring your suggestion - it was a good one. I was just waiting until I had better feedback. The LOP is actually perfect for her but the comb is a little too low. I think the comb is positioned for someone just a few inches shorter than she is. As for losing a little on this gun, it was totally worth it. We have had a hell of a time trying to find a gun that works for her, and there have been some EPIC failures along the way (a $5000 custom-fitted Caesar Guerini being the biggest and most expensive one). But after seven years and as many guns, we finally found one she loves.
Bump with Black Friday pricing! What kid wouldn't think his parents were the coolest if he or she found this under the tree??
Would you be willing to sell it to someone outside of NC/SC, obviously through an FFL? I am in Columbus, GA. Thanks, Justin
