Bug in ideas..... Equipment type, 1 EA

More bitchin and complainin and by the time we left, we had figured out all the worlds problems! We also didn't know if Joe was talkin in his sleep, or just fartin!o_O

Leaving the road removes you from zone 1 but you have traverse many more zones just like it.

I've been thinking about this incorrect I guess. My plan was going to actually stay on the freeway as much as possible. More chance to run into people but I was hoping there would be easier targets on the same road that the bad guys would go after first. If it's a winter time situation (snow/ice storm shutting down the world) the major roads would be cleared first and make walking easier?

I have the crap in the car (food, water, fire, shelter, medical, clothes, shoes, etc, etc) but have no real knowledge on how to actually move or survive. Not sure how to fix that.

I heard in another thread that you're a loser if you have a hardtop Jeep. o_O

One of the little city bikes stows even smaller and costs less than a case of 9mm: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Q7EE928

Now I'm thinking of one to stash in the office, or throw in the back of the SUV on days I'm driving far from home.

Max weight: 220lbs
How many of us, body alone, would max out that little thing?
Now how much stuff do we have in our car/GHB?

Personally, I know I am just over 200, usually 205-210ish
And my bag, which doesnt have a lot in it, has to weigh more than 15lbs.
And that doesnt include my gun and mags.

Just something to think about before spending 150 bucks on a stowaway bike.

One thing that I tossed in my pack was a tube repair kit. Was about 2 bucks or so at WM for a Schwinn model, and takes up VERY little space and weight.
I put it in there for the same reason - biking is easier than walking and figured there MIGHT be a chance I run across a bike on my walk home that has a flat tire. Never know.

About staying on main roads...

The panic and difficulty ramps up exponentially when people start running out of gas.

Doesn't even need to be anything super "extreme". This was Raleigh a few years ago.
I was on I-40 in Raleigh during this; it took me 4 hours to go 20 miles.

I have you beat on average/low speed. 9 miles in 3.5 hours that day. Ended up driving thru ditches to get around jam-ups.

Think about it, this is more real then 99.9% of crap we come up with.

Today in Moore county we had a huge thunderstorm, hail, heavy wind, rain. What if my truck was taken out by something and I had to walk it in.

That's a SHTF a small one but it could happen

Why wouldn't you just call a friend or wrecker?
