Maybe I’ll just buy some and bring them that way.Feel like getting in some range time? My farm is only 15 minutes from Pittsboro. Would be great to combine a cookie delivery with some range time.
Absolutely! Also, I'm a member of the Chatham County Law Enforcement Officers Association. We have an outdoor shooting range on 64 between Pittsboro and Siler City.Feel like getting in some range time? My farm is only 15 minutes from Pittsboro. Sent!! Happy to support our little ones. That's wonderful. Thank you! PM sent...
So, click the link that I provided earlier and that takes you to the page that's set up for my daughter, Grace... Then click "Cookie Share" and donate as much ($4 each) as you like. Then, that many boxes get shipped to the troops overseas and my girls get credit for the sale.
Cookie Share is a blanket term. Different troops donate coookies to different groups of people. But, our troop only donates to Operation Cookie Drop. So, whatever you order from my daughter's link (and click Cookie Share) is guaranteed to go to troops deployed overseas...
Thank you!

I'd be happy to take anyone out there, to shoot, on a weekend. It's usually empty. And there are no range officers, so we can do what we want. Shooting and moving, barricades, steel targets, whatever!
That’s why I thought it would be fun for my girls to buy it from them. Even though I’m setting up the meet, they can do all the businessWhatever happened to using Girl Scout Cookies as a way to teach young girls about interacting with other people, especially adults. Having them go out and actually sell them to people, giving them goals to meet and things to strive for as they earn badges with their sales numbers. If mom and dad sell the cookies on the internet for them, it defeats that whole purpose.
It used to be a learning tool, now it's just a business.

It's always been a business... The company that makes the cookies keeps 75% of the money. The Girl Scouts Headquarters keeps 20%. And about 5% goes to the troop. The troop gets almost nothing, but it is what it is...Whatever happened to using Girl Scout Cookies as a way to teach young girls about interacting with other people, especially adults. I'd say the online thing is mainly due to the lack of people carrying cash anymore. Tough to sell a box of cookies when they can't pay you. I think I saw someone using a square last year. It's always been a business... The company that makes the cookies keeps 75% of the money. The Girl Scouts Headquarters keeps 20%. My wife and I take our girls to a different local downtown area every Saturday afternoon, and I pull a wagon full of cookies while my girls do all the taking. They love it, and they are both very outgoing. Pittsboro, Apex, Carrboro, Sanford, etc.
This online thing is just something extra to make it more convenient for folks that don't want to go buy cookies in public.
Thank you to everyone who has already ordered! We really appreciate it!
Yep! My wife has a Girl Scout app on her phone that allows people to pay with a card. She punches in the number and it charges the card and the card holder gets an email receipt.I'd say the online thing is mainly due to the lack of people carrying cash anymore. Great question!
Absolutely! Anybody who lives near Pittsboro can PM me directly and I'll bring the cookies to you. If we agree on a time to meet that's not during school hours, then I'll bring my girls to "sell" them to you.
