isn't Morton a wood post and beam building with metal siding and roof? Not what I would consider a metal building.

I have a pre-engineered metal building for my shop. I hate it. You lose space due to the purlin width. you still have to frame up walls if you want to finish the interior.

You are correct wood and metal.

A guy I know built his shop first. I really nice steel building with his living quarters in the shop. He, his wife, and two kids lived there for years until they saved up to build a house on the property. His setup was pretty cool if you don't mind walking from your living room into the workshop.

A race engine builder I know in Spartanburg did something similar many years ago to get his business up and running. The living quarters were on a second floor above part of the shop. Owner travelled to work via a firemans pole in his office.
