Just got an ad for Cabelas. They have much of their in stock reloading products on sale. Powder, primers, bullets, presses. They even have the FART on sale if you want to move to wet cleaning of brass.

Something sounds just so wrong about that...lol.
 
I was there the other day, if you need a few things it might be worthwhile to avoid the hazmat, but they are higher than L13 (if you care to get a good deal and support a forum sponsor) and most online retailers.

i dont know why i bother advertising here....

so many people keep posting that these big box stores have all this stuff for sale and most of their sale prices are higher than our everyday price... its like you just cant win when you own a small business...

thank you for bringing up the fact that we have all of this stuff and at better prices than the big box stores...

Not to mention the pants down man hugs!!!! Try that in Cabelas and see what happens. I have seen Don take stuff off his own press and give it to a customer and he will help you get your junk up and running. Even if they didn't have a better price, I would buy from Lucky 13 just for the customer service.

I go up there about once a month and am happy to pick something up if you guys need anything.

I mention this store because some people can't get where you are at and need something right away. You are 2 hours from me. Yes you are cheaper and you are very helpful, but you do not carry everything I might need. Nor does any store. It is just another option. So stop getting your panties in a wad or open a store in Raleigh.

This is suppose to be a place where you help out people. Including companies that support this site. BUT, there is no reason for a company to get upset because I mention another company. Lucky 13 is a good place to buy. But he cannot carry everything. The last time I was in there he didn't have what I needed. There are plenty of mom and pop shops that are closer and cheaper than Lucky 13. That doesn't mean I will not support Lucky 13. I try to support mom and pop's and LGS before big box stores. I use the web, LGS and big box stores when I need something. Lucky 13 needs to understand that he is not the only one to buy things from! He also needs to understand that he is in Kernersville....not Raleigh, Wilson, Garner, Cary, Sanford, Charlotte....need I say more. Courier service is great, I use the Cowboy Pony Express and it works well. Now lets get back to helping people find what they need, when they need it.
 
I've been to L13 once, when I was travelling through the area, awesome store. I wish I lived 15 minutes from him, I'm sure I would buy a lot there. Cabelas is just a bit far for me, but might be worth a trip. I tend to wait until the gun show is in Raleigh and I can stock up on hazmat stuff, BCR always has good prices and will hold something for me if I let him know in advance. If L13 ever has a booth there, I would buy from him, too.

I would love to support site sponsors and advertisers, but I am not going to pay for the gas to drive a 3 hour round trip just to do that.
 
I don't think anyone means anything by posting this stuff Don. I can guarantee you that I will always use you for anything that you carry and I would pay more to do so even though I don't have to as your prices are always fair
 
Lucky 13 is 100mi from my house. Cabela's is 1mi from my house. When you include the gas (not just my time, which I also value) it's going to cost significantly more for me to go to L13. If they had a store in Raleigh, I'd go there.

correct, it doesn't... but the 500 i paid not because this was a great advertising venue, cause frankly it isn't... because of issues like this... i paid it because it was something i believed in... a community...

frankly its hard to feel very communal when i am told to not get my panties in a bunch... its a constant slap in the face when people constantly feel compelled to post deals at big box stores that don't pay for the advertising...

but some people will just never get that...


i freely support the right to shop anywhere, and i know i am not the only place to shop, i understand that i am far from some people, but the big box stores have their own advertising... can't some people just let the little guy have theirs... REALLY?

I don't see any rep from Cabelas on here throwing the F bomb at other people, and I doubt I ever will.

It isn't very communal, either, when a moderator deletes posts were someone talked about a competitor's product.

Think we have a snowflake in the house. Thought there was free speech. You were wrong then and you are wrong now. You also stop me from helping out another reloader with some of my projectiles that I was selling him for what I paid. When I buy, I buy 30000 and pass it on to my follow reloaders.

Your the the one that seems to be still butt hurt when I complained that you should be paying for advertising when you posted up pictures of a semi truck dropping off pallets of bullets then put them up for sale

the other mods stopped that after they discussed it. Not me

I appreciate any heads up on a good deal. I paid my money to join too - granted it wasn't 5 hunnit dollas but Lucky13bullets your rep is strong enough here that your name came up in post #4 of a 'hot deal somewhere else' thread. You're getting what you paid for in a roundabout way. don't fornicate it up.

Let's get it straight, the mods did not stop me. I told them I would not post them anymore. Because I didn't want to pee in your Cornflakes! He told me I could post if wanted as long as I didn't do it every month. I help out my fellow reloaders just like they help me. I passed on my savings to others. When I find a good deal, I buy. These were FMJ 9mm and 45 acp that were on the line of Hornady HAP bullets. So no I am not still upset about that. I still buy them cheaper than your lead bullets go for.
 
Guys I would sincerely appreciate it if everyone took a step back for a minute.

This is a great community and we appreciate every member and especially every sponsor. We understand threads like this and we understand trying to pass on information on great deals to other members when you find them.

I also fully understand how it can be frustrating to a vendor to see information about deals at big box chains who do not support this community being posted.

So if you all would, just take a step back and look at it from the other side for just a minute and then try to appreciate what we have here.
