Has anyone ever camped there? I have been to the fairgrounds lots of times, but never to the campground area.
We are wanting to take the motor home up there after Christmas.
Is the flea market weekend full up for camping? It looks like first come, first serve.
Safe area, or do I need to pack extra ammo.
Thanks

I gotta ask. Why would you want to camp there anyway? Is there a big event or something?

Not sure why OP is camping there but a lot of folks will camp there if they have to be in town for an extended stay- work, class, taking someone in for treatment..

We go camping for Thanksgiving and always run into folks that camp Thanksgiving and Christmas when visiting family.

At $30 a night, its a lot cheaper than a hotel and is in a good location to get to most of Raleigh.

We want to visit the Museum of History and the Natural Science Museum. The first of the month flea market at the Fairgrounds is also huge. The ww1 exhibit at the history museum ends in Jan. It is supposed to be a good display of NC WW1 artifacts and history.
The 5 days camping at the fairgrounds is a lot cheaper than a hotel, and I sleep in my own bed. And take the dog. And cook my own food.

If you see a 6’6 red head there, it’s likely Dougie Hamilton
