Can I get some opinions on next week's gun shows

Unless I am bored out of my mind ... and the rain is coming down like a cow pissin’ on a flat rock all day ... or had to have powder immediately ... I’d never go to a C&E show. As to a 6 Shooter ... being a new guy and in small venues at a decent admission price I’d give it a try just for entertainment and see what little hidden gem might be there.

BUT gunshows of today are not really more to me than reloading supplies and looking for that rare odd find.

I go to any show that is in Raleigh, whether it is the C&E or the Dixie. Even if I don't buy anything  it is cheap entertainment for me. There is a lot less at the C&E show, but then I am rarely able to walk the whole floor at the Dixie show before I am ready to leave. The Dixie show tends to be crowded and harder to move around. Can't speak to the C&E in Winston, though.

Anyone know how many vendors will be there?

When full, the Winston C&E show has around 400ish tables. Number of vendors is fewer than that, of course, since most vendors occupy more than one table. Scuttlebutt on the show circuit is that Winston has a waiting list for dealers for this weekend.

I don't know the venue at Raeford, but given 6 Shooters' other shows, I'd expect 100ish tables. Again - fewer vendors than that. I was pleased with 6 Shooters' Salisbury show for its size. He kept it predominantly gun related.

I do fairly well at the Winston C&E show. Guess I'm the only one in this thread giving it any love. I've made some very good buys there, but what you get out of a show depends partly on what you put into it. I'm there the entire weekend. I won't have the same experience as someone who walks around for a couple hours and goes home. Your mileage may vary.
