Years ago my father in law went with a group on a fishing trip in Canada, one of those all inclusive places where you basically show up and they provide everything you need. He had a blast and I’m thinking I’d like to try it with my boys before they get too old and begin their adult lives.

I’m looking for input from anyone on the forum who’s been up there fishing. Recommendations on where to go or not go, best time of year, etc.

Lake of the Woods. Friend of mine used to go there. I’ve never been but all his pictures were awesome

Check out French river lodge. Pretty secluded and there are cabins on an island. They rent boats/motors or you can bring your own.
nippissing lake, perry sound, simcoe and up by the 1000 islands are worth a look too. Really just depends on how far you want to go into Canada.
